The guy is playing with Havlat last little while. Honestly I've watched the guy play a lot and while he's putting up numbers the guy has played worse than his numbers indicate. He turns it over a lot on the rush and he doesn't really look like he knows what he's doing in the offensive end.

What? He can't score at ES? He can't come out even against strong competition?

For all of the crap the Reddox lovers threw at Schremp last year while Reddox was sheltered from the **** show that was the '08-09 Falcons because he was MacT's towel boy, they are getting it this season and none are saying a ****ing peep.
It's kind of funny how personal you take this whole Reddox/Schremp thing.

Wait, Reddox was sheltered from the Falcons? He was playing with the big team. And he looks even better with the Oilers this season than he did last year.

Reddox kills penalties and plays strong defence. Schremp is supposed to score, except he kinda sucks at it. Both are below-average NHLers and are not really worth getting riled up over.

I said that he'd be an NHLer just that I thought that Schremp would make it ahead of him, I was VERY wrong on that estimation. That said many thought that Brule was just an AHLer and a guy like Reddox would make him redundant.

BTW-Schremp was even and had an assist in NYI's 7-1 loss, I believe that he played in the high teens in minutes played. Hopefully he can keep it going for his sake.

Interesting you'd be the one saying this, since you seem to be a huge Pat Quinn supporter and MacT hater, and yet both coaches chose Reddox over Schremp, and employed him when they ran into injury issues.

When did Quinn ever choose Reddox over Schremp?

I believe he would have had some input as to whether Shremp made the team or not, knowing full well that if he didn't make the team, he'd be gone. And he brought Reddox up before a lot of other players were considered.

Both were waiver eligible and Reddox was sent down first. He took a chance that either or both would be claimed.

This is ridiculous. Why does an AHL player get a 5 page thread on here?

BTW, Reddox>Schremp, and I don't think twice about it.

good for robbie
i hope he can find his game in the NHL
now with robbie vs the red OX
both players strongest assets are special teams...one is a pp specialist and one is a pk specialest.....on the open market the pp guy gets the nod.

Fact is that Reddox is crapping the bed in Springfield and I don't hear a peep about it from all of those that thought that he was going to be something special.

I was wrong about Schremp, however I can be man enough to admit it, why can't others admit that they were wrong about Reddox and that others deserved his ice last year?
I think, as always, that you see everything too much in black and white BBO. One of the given reasons why Schremp was not in the Oiler lineup was that he was a top six scoring forward, but the Oilers already had too many players who fulfilled that role. In particular, I think Nilsson or Gagner was the men who took Schremp's spot a couple years ago.

As for Reddox, I don't recall many posters saying he was "something special". He was recalled to play in a bottom six left wing role. He was decent on the forecheck, wasn't terrible defensively and worked hard every shift. It was probably a role that Jacques should have had - but he had both injury difficulties and a ridiculous streak of bad luck where he couldn't put up any points in his first 25 games or so.

Reddox is crapping the bed in Springfield this year, much like Schremp did last year - probably for the same reason - that they're disappointed they're not in the NHL.

I'm pleased that both Ryans (Stone and Potulny) are now playing regular roles for the Oilers. I had predicted that Potulny would make the team this year, but was surprised that Stone beat him out for it. Although I think the true test will be when the "veterans" come back from injury (Comrie, Pisani, Pouliot) and we'll see who gets sent down (or out).

That doesn't surprise me. He has the high end skills.

Hopefully he is putting the rest of his game together and makes a a career out of it.

He is battling harder and working hard out there, his game still isn't where I'd like it to be but in time with more confidence and experience IMO he could still get there. He had a pretty nice goal against Ottawa before the year ended too, but tonights was a pretty special one that the ref originally called no goal but it was reviewed and overruled. Beauty of a goal.

What's even funnier is no one is clamouring for Reddox to take a spot in the NHL lineup, so I'm not sure how this proves his point.

5 have come in his last 5 games and tonight he looked very good out there. That said 1 game does not make a career by any stretch of the imagination. Besides we don't need guys on hots streaks we are falling for Hall!

DB you know full well that you were one of the guys propping Reddox up last season. Many were saying how he was as good as Schremp offensively but far better defensively. That's 1/2 right. 10 points in 32 games this year for Liam and a -14. Does that look like an NHLer's stats to you? Many were quick to condemn Schremp and Brule last year because of their stats yet they are in the NHL and Reddox is in the AHL.
