After thinking long and hard about it and examining the schedule and standings....I'm officially with tanking. No way we'll catch Edmonton...but there is a possibility of catching the Canes...who have been playing well lately. A top 5 pick I can also live with. Outside of the big three...I do like Nino.

Right now the Rangers are the 8th worst team but Atl and Bos have 3 games in hand and are only one point behind. Pretty much the Rangers are 6th worse.

A top 5 draft pick seems alot closer then the Playoffs.

Assuming Kabanov's stock doesn't dramatically jump back up (he is currently ranked around 15) do you think we should trade up for him if he get a top three pick? Seguin/Fowler + Kabanov would be a great draft. We would have our low second round pick (In the 31-33 range) and any other seconds we get for trading prospal, girardi, olli.etc I really do think Kabanov is going to be the steal of the draft. (In the first round anyway)
