Coburn in walking boot; likely a sprain

courtesy of Timmey's twitter, will look for an article

Quote:
@tpanotch - Coburn in walking boot. Tells me he has a sprain. That likely means Tollefsen plays vs Bruins
later

@tpanotch - Tollefsen working with Timonen
I wonder if this injury happened last night or not?

Timmeh's blog on CSN Philly says the exact same as his twitter:
http://www.csnphilly.com/pages/blog_panaccio

MOD EDIT:

http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/f...ry_victim.html

Quote:
BOSTON – Just when it looks like the Flyers were only days away from being a nearly healthy team, another player goes down.

This time it’s Braydon Coburn.

Coburn was seen walking around the TD Garden at Sunday morning’s Flyers practice in a walking boot. He told us that it was just an ankle sprain and that he injured it Saturday night against the Devils.

It must be a little more serious than he is letting on. Coburn left Boston to head back to Philadelphia to see team doctors.

Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said that until the Flyers can figure out what is wrong with Coburn, the team will list him as day-to-day.

One thing is certain: Coburn will not play on Monday night here against the Bruins.

Ole-Kristian Tollefsen will play his first game since Nov. 7, when he left the game against St. Louis with a mild concussion. He has been healthy for the last four or five weeks, often doing extra workouts after practice.

May be good for him. Take this time to straighten himself out.

Sounds good. Hopefully he can get his crap together, and the way he's been playing OKT is an upgrade.

We need him to get it together ASAP. Maybe OKT can give some relief? Wolfy is happy now at least.

I'd laugh if they called up someone to play over OKT. Wolfy would be furious

Nothing against Parent but I would like Bart with Timo. He has looked VERY good these games and made some really nice plays. Also, personally, I think he's alot better passer then Parent.

Or maybe this explains his subpar play.

I'd say he hurt his ankle when Bergfors spun his ass around last night.

It would annoy me if both Coburn and Emery were told to play through injuries far past the point that it was obvious that they weren't able to sustain a high level of play.

Let me remind you that OKT became player of the game last time we played the Bruins, and we won. I know you love to bash him, but your arguments stink

Trust me, you will praise OKT after victory tomorrow

2nd pair with Timonen? I'd say 15-20 mins. Laviolette wants to test him, he said: "Okay, Tolly...we need help here, the ice is yours...show me what you got"

I personally don't like to bash OKT, but you make it so hard to root for him even though he hasn't done anything but his job since he's been here. I like him so far from a few interviews and how he has played, but your bromance with him is creepy and kind of grating.
