SIGN SLAVA KOZLOV TO TWO-YEAR DEAL

The Colorado Avalanche have signed veteran Slava Kozlov to a two-year contract, paying him 3 million dollars per year. The Avalanche beileve that Slava will bring in leadership and under-rated two-way game. He will be playing with Matt Duchene on the second line, aswell as another free-agent signing yet to be named, rumor has it that it is between two western confrence forwards.

Joe Corvo, Carlo Coliacovo and Lee Stempniak have all signed, waiting on the GM's to announce. Paul Mara and Owen Nolan may not be far behind.

No interest at all in Kariya or Demitra, considering retirement/euro league.

Good luck with him! I think Slava would be a great fit in Colorado if he was playing like he used to. Although this season has all but shown his legs have grown old and he's lacking the foot speed to be an effective Top-6 forward. Hopefully an off-season of conditioning will change this.

Willing to package some top 6 scorers for lower priced top 6 scorers, I.e. Knuble,Laich, etc. for players such as Pavelski ( only an example.)

IF YOU'VE MADE AN OFFER FOR WILLIE MITCHELL, IT'S LIKELY GOING TO HAVE TO BE RAISED. HE'S JUST GOT AN OFFER FOR 3.75M PER YEAR

He will decided tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the Blackhawks are going to have to move Kris Versteeg. Looking for a cheaper top 6 winger, and something else depending on the player offered.

Canes are looking for PMD's. Willing to put together a decent package for the right guy.

Michael Ryder
Drayson Bowman or Jamie McBain
1st round pick in 2011 or 2nd round pick in 2011

Also willing to give away Sergei Samsonov for nothing.

Samsonov + MTL 2nd in '10 for a 3rd rounder or mid-level prospect

My client ,Ilya Kovalchuk, has made his decision and we are notifying the team at this very moment of his intent to sign. We would like to thank all teams who made offers but Ilya has made an easy decision

The Washington Capitals would like to announce the Signing of Russian superstar, Ilya Kovalchuk, 8 years at 9 MIL per , this deal includes a NTC.

The Capitals now have the most Dominant PP in the League.

Ovie-Backstrom-Kovalchuk
Phaneuf-Green

due to the 10% rule , the Caps are in no current trouble, but are looking to clear cap space.

PM me with offers

Technically, I'm not even over the cap ( so I think) because I haven't signed any RFA's yet. But will be in big trouble soon.

When Backstrom comes up for a re-signing you are not going to be able to keep him.

Warren Peters: 1 year $500,000
Dan Jancevski: 1 year, two-way, $500,000 ($250,000 AHL)

Really? I would like to see them get him locked up to a 5.57M cap hit. I see him pushing 7M. Good on you again, good value for Parise/Martin.

Have signed D Freddy Meyer to a 2 year, 610K/year contract.

Freddy will round out our defensive corps, playing with Jordan Hendry on the 3rd pairing.

Thanks. I also don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that such a contract would happen. Parise's still RFA when his current contract runs out anyway.

And yes, Backstrom is, I learned that when I went to check Washington's cap situation.

Also, Colin White remains on the trading block, as he's jamming up my defense prospects.
