What exactly does Potulny do that helps this team win?
Score goals and points? Comrie does that better than maybe three guys on the Oilers payroll, and one of them is out for the season.
Hit? About as much as Robert Nilsson.
Play defense? He's a step back of Marc Pouliot in that area of the game.
I like Ryan Potulny, but he is a dime a dozen in our system. He fills no specific niche and is loading up on PP time. Comrie is better than him at that, by a wide margin, and brings an element of actual scoring we could use in our top-six with Hemsky gone.
I don't know, i've seen more of an all around contribution from Potulny than i ever saw from Comrie by far and offensively Comrie really isn't that much better than Potulny as this point in his career.
Sorry to nitpick but i don't know why everybody keeps saying that these guys only produced in the preseason, for the first 6-8 games of the regular season, the Stone-Comrie-O'Sullivan line was our most dangerous line on a consistent basis moreso than the Penner-Horcoff-Hemsky line so i say that we should re-unite the Stone-Comrie-O'Sullivan and see if that'll spark O'Sullivan.
Also, why does everyone want to see Horcoff and O'Sullivan stay together? they are absolutely a horrible match for each other, just look at how well Horcoff did when he got put on a line with Nilsson and Stone. Those two need to be split up....
