I have no idea why Halak started. Price's career record against Buffalo is much better and his size is such an asset in the net!! His legs may have stopped that 5-on-3 goal. 23/27 shots = 0.851 %
Price usually faces 35+ shots and does much better than Halak.
Halak did not lose the game but that 3rd goal was completely his fault. He had a few chances to freeze the puck and he just stared at it waiting for someone else to take it. No battling whatsoever. He reminds me too much of Huet.
Good job on the discipline boys. Metro should not have got 4 mins, but he should not have been ****ing around with Roy either.
**** you Metropolit you stupid *******, **** you Martin for playing Moen on the PP with 1 minute left.
It might amuse you to know that Moen has the 5th most goals on the team (remember that race to 5 goals thread? He beat them all, btw). Also, many coaches like to have a big, physical guy who goes to the net on PPs, so why wouldn't that be Moen? Cammy, Pleks, and A.Kost were already out there, so why is it such a bad idea to put your most physical forward (who is also 5th on your team in goals) out there?
Yet another tough loss where the breaks and bounces just didn't go the Habs way..Seems like the common theme so far this season and it all started with Markov getting injured in game 1 on a bad break....
The Hab players must know by know that they haven't been getting the calls from the refs this year yet they continue to play undisciplined hockey and take stupid penalties game in and game out...
Oh well on to the game against Marty and the Devils..That should be a fun game to watch....
LOL are you ****ing serious? Hahahahaha. at you for thinking Halak is the reason we lost tonight.
Incredible.
when price was in nets earlier in the year and we lost 3-1 and 3-2 there were some people here (im sure you know who) who said a goalie needs to do whatever he has to do to win. meanwhile halak was givin up 4 goals a game or getting 20 shots a game and people said he was playing better and certainly better than price.
well tonight halak didnt make the big save. he didnt do what he had to do. we only gave up 27 shots and very few scoring chances and still gave up 4. we can all agree price was very shaky vs atlanta but he made huge saves and the one in the third on kozlov helped us get a point.
i certainly dont think halak was the reason we lost but he certainly did not help us win.
I'm seriously asking myself if some our team members suffer from mental retardation, because they seem to take dumb decisions at the worst time possible. Pathetic penalties, all of them.
Playmaker-Playmaker-4th liner aren't gonna score many goals.
Some people just don't get it no matter how many times you write this including those "headcases" Bergeron and Hartley on L'Antichambre; at least, some on that panel are more reasonable... You can't simply tell Gomez to become a scorer, even if you give him 8M$.
Leafs 2 points back with a game in hand.....that's scary.
Has it escaped your notice that the Habs have not been very good?
This game is actually kind of encouraging. They didn't get shelled for once, and against Buffalo, that's saying something. If they keep this up they might turn the corner.
