Where's the leader?

Daniel Alfredsson is the captain of this team? Sure doesn't look like it. This is the second year in a row that this guy has disapeared in the playoffs. He's trying to be too damn fancy out there.

Someone needs to lead this team right now and he isn't doing it.

Calm down. That wasn't a bad loss.
I would have like to see some more bodies in front, but other than that, they were alright.
I still can't see the Leafs winning this series.

BTW: Why wasn't Chara in front on the PP? Doesn't Jacques want goals?

Not a bad loss? What game were you watching? It didn't even look like they wanted to be out there.

Really the only things that pissed me off were: nobody in front and no forechecking.
They played solid D, Lalime kept sharp while he could have been falling asleep. Some chances were created, but for the wrong people (Varada, Neil, Etc).

And the PP was way too cute. Didn't generate much.

Tied 2-2 in the series and Leafs have no Sundin ... that's a bad loss.

Hossa seems to be alone, Havlat and Alfredsson are invisible, No one is covering Niewendyk, lots of things need to change!

Havlat hasn't played well without all the space he normally has in the regular season. Like Spezza and his dipsy-doodles gving up the puck. But it's not for a lack of effort.
Jacques gotta get both to simplify things.

we need a 180 degree flip for next game. they had the chance to put the strangle on the leafs, but instead the noose is around the other team. they fell flat on their faces tonite. it looked like they didnt care tonite. the leafs were sitting back, and it was obvious with there like 7 icings in a row early on. at that point the sens HAD to step it up and pound the leafs offensively, what do they do, play the same style as the leafs, they sit back and wait for a break, they had a few but screwed up (one a good defensive play by klee, i dont know how varada screwed up his). i dont know what the hell they were thinking. this team really likes to test its fans. this is no, no more losing now, they have to win, they better come out like gangbusters sunday, or else its over.

You do realize that Ottawa has to win 2 straight games, the final one in Toronto... right?

I don't think the Sens have ever won 2 straight against Toronto in the playoffs.

Few Comments on tonight's Game from a Leafs Fan.

On Hossa and Varada's breaks neither would have scored had they got their shot away. Belfour was right there both times.

I missed the first period but after that I was pretty pleased with the way the leafs played. Nothing fancy but we got the job done. Will the real Sens ever show up or are they just hugely over rated.

The Leafs haven't played great all series and I think that is about 50/50 between themselves and the Sens being a tough team to play against. However Belfour has three shutouts and the Sens Power Play is a joke right now. So when are the Sens going to score some goals ?

It is easy to say Belfour has won games but everyone knows that if your goalie doesn't steal at least two or three games your team isn't going to win in the play-offs and has no hope at winning the cup. Go Eddie ... Go Leafs ... and soon ... it'll be "Hey Alfie ... Tee off at Ten bud"

Sens have never won after being down 2-1 in a series and have never beat the Leafs in the play-offs.

I think history will put the series in the books for us.

Belfour is our leader and he will be the frontman in winning this series. Sunday Bloody Sunday for the Sens.

It seems like they're not putting as much pressure on themselves on the road and not going for the wins. It's baffling.

I don't feel the team is overrated...they're just not playing their game, and imo haven't at all this series, like the Leafs. You're going to see the Sens at their best on Sunday, I can guarantee that.

Really? Are you psychic? Because there's no other way you can know exactly what Hossa and Varada were going to do. Shoot, sweep around, deke, double-back. Lots of options and looking at the replay Belfour was on his knees, meaning the top half of the net was available.

Alfredsson made a promise on Wednesday and he delivered.

He's probably the only Sens' player who truly believes that they can beat the Leafs.

Remove him, and you can pick any of the past series against Toronto to watch again... it'll simply be a repeat.

Does anyone know if they're this bad on the Leafs board after a Sens win?? I'd really be ashamed.

I wonder why this happens when ever the Sens lose? weird how that works eh?

They are VERY quiet when the Sens win...but when the Sens lose they insist on leafing their own board and coming here for some strange reason.

I'd have a lot more respect for these furballs if they had the nads to post the kind of stuff they do here after a loss or a win...instead of only after a Sens loss.

Yes, it is quite an odd phenomenon. Personally, if I were to troll, I would wait until the series is officially over before I began running my mouth. Crow is so much harder to swallow when served a la comeback.

I'm not going to let it reflect on all Leaf fans. There are some good people over there. My only hope is that we don't sink to the same level if the Sens come back to win this series.
