They need to play Garon no less than every third game so:

a: He stays on his game
b: He challenges Mase to be better

Nope. He's been one of the few people who's actually started to suck less during the more recent stages of this disaster.

Then which of the LaLa boys gets called up to replace him? Both of them have been playing very poorly for Syracuse and Lacosta may still be injured.

The considering how bad the Syracuse's defense is, Mason will look even worse in the AHL.

LaLande is suspended at the moment for flipping off the crowd so I don't think he's gonna be called up anytime soon...

I won't pretend that he's totally cured of whatever his mental issues were at the beginning of the season, but he's been a lot more solid in the last couple of weeks, the forechecking and backchecking (or rather, lack of both) and plays like Methot's OLE block last night are what is making him look "so" bad...

I believe he still could be called up, even though he's suspended in the AHL.

I saw that too, if we keep playing like we are I don't think the Avs have too much to worry about. Alot of empty seats at the Pepsi Center tonight too for a team that's in 1st place.

After seeing how much effort they put into those commercials I really am not surprised by the effort on the ice. Either they shoot the audio for those things in a busy nightclub or the guys have no energy off the ice either.

Didn't hear anything about the press conference, but here was the Wild blogger's take from Hockeybuzz:

Quote:
Coach Ken Hitchcock spoke for 40 seconds commenting only that during the first period, they were on their heels and that the last 2 periods were good for them. Obviously not happy with leaving 1-2 points on the table.
40 seconds? Is he running out of cliches?

He cancelled practice tomorrow so he could come up with more.
