I'm listening to the same program as you, I just added a bit of spice to the news. Half of it is speculation, half of it is what you heard.

No one said "out for season".

He will undergo an MRI tonight.

I think it's interesting personally. It sucks because he's one of my favourites, but he's been battling the puck the entire season. Perhaps this will give him proper time to heal his back as well as his ankle and whatever else is ailing him. If someone like Winchester can get a chance, then it might not be all bad. Clouston's system is built for the Mike Fishers, Michaleks, Folignos etc. Winchester might have some success in all seriousness.

It's not always about production. Other teams focus their checking on Spezza's line, even if he's not going well. With him out, it's going to be a lot easier for teams to focus on Fisher's line now.

And he was just starting to get his scoring touch back. This is a bad thing any way you slice it.

he's still a good face off man, and it's really al ot of the small things no one notices that are important! but this sure gives a chance for people to step up.. hoping that works

I like it, it is unfortunate that you don't, however I was just speculating, I'm sorry if I offended you in any way.

**** son. Bad news, BUT teams have a funny way of rallying when they loose their big stars. I think the Sens will be ok. Its not like Spezza has been a huge force all season. On the other hand this REALLY sucks considering he was just starting to turn his game around.

Maybe if its going to be a few months, Murray will take advantage of having that cap cushion.

Fisher would need to get hurt for it to be like 06/07.

No, it was Spezza, Fisher, and I believe Vermette missed some time too.

I can't wait till we lose 10 in a row and all the people start saying "MAN I WISH SPEZZA WOULD GET BACK"

tis a good day for the Spezza haters, on the bright side if he goes on long term injury we save sap space and can just pick up Ward won't have to wait the re entry............................

agree..

I think we have the depth up front to keep this going. Guys will step up. In the end this team will be better off, guys playing in different roles, etc.

That's not how it works.

Is Spezza is out for the year, won't return at all can go over by 4.0
But if he does return and we go over, when he returns we immediately need to cut however much we went over. In order for Spezza to play

In 06-07 Kelly was paired with Heatley and the 2 played great. It will be interesting to see how Cory changes the lines
