why the hemsky hate...the team is playing well enjoy it.

i dont think we are a beter team with him out of the line up. but there are some players that have steped up their game because he is out of the line up. to bad they couldnt have done that before.

i've always hated him, always.

i hate the way he plays:

1) take the puck enter the zone, go around the net, lose the puck
2) take the puck on the half boards, circle a few times then lose the puck
3) take the puck and enter the zone then lose the puck

on the pp, look for souray, look for souray, look for horcoff.

he never takes the puck off the half boards, walk in, and shoot. kovalchuk and ovechkin always try to shoot and hemsky needs to look to shoot on the pp instead of looking to the point. he's too predictable

I'm keeping my expectations low for this game especially coming off an ultra successful road trip and with this being the first game back from a road trip.
The one thing in our favor is that the Kings are in the second of a back to back so maybe they won't have their legs under them tonight.
I hope the crowd is alive tonight and welcomes back our team who has played their butt off for a good stretch now so let's get #6.

Go Oilers!!!!

This is false. He doesn't do it as often as he should, but he does does do it.

It sucks to win 5 in a row and still be that far from a playoff spot.

he rarely does it. he's the most frustrating player on the oilers. he could be so much better, but doesn't play up to his potential. my patience has worn so thin, even kate moss is jealous of it.

Kings fan here....I come in peace.

Looking forward to tonight's game.

Here's the Kings roster for tonight:

Frolov/Kopitar/Williams
Purcell/Richardson/Brown
Moller/Handzus/Parse
Ivanans/Elkins/Harrold

Scuderi/Doughty
Johnson/Jones
O'Donnell/Greene

Quick

Stoll injured his groin last night in Vancouver so he's scratched.

Simmonds is IR for at least a month, probably longer (meniscus surgery).

Smyth not back until after Christmas.

Purcell is a rookie forward on a 1 year contract. This is a make or break season for him. He's here for scoring but hasn't had much luck.

Richardson is a leftie we traded Colorado a 2nd rounder for last year and he's finally starting to show some promise as a scorer/3rd liner.

Parse was drafted by the Kings in 2004 but has had a lot of bad luck with injuries. He's now healthy and having a very good season with the Kings.

Ivanans is our enforcer.

Moller is the Kings 2nd rounder form the 2007 draft. Small but able to snipe pretty good.

Harrold is our utility guy. Usually plays D but does 4th line duty when necessary.

Elkins was just recalled yesterday. This will be his first Kings game this season.

Kings are a banged up team at the moment. This is by no means our "A" squad.

Will be nice to see Sully and Visnovsky play again.

May the best team win!

Happy Holidays!

Yes! I'm going to the game tonight - but I must warn everyone I am 0-4

4-3 OTL vs. Dallas
3-2 L vs. Dallas
3-1 L vs. Calgary
3-2 L vs. Detroit

Hopefully tonight I finally get to witness a win in person (please?)

LA will be tired coming into tonight's game. They'll probably give up as soon as they feel how cold it is coming off the aircraft.

My prediction is a 6-3 Oilers Win.

np. Glad to do it.

We'll probably play like we did last night in Vancouver. Defense first. Playing your guys tight.

Unless Kopitar, Brown, Handzus, Williams, Purcell, Moller and Parse can start scoring some goals and Quick stands on his head I think you guys will win this. But, that's why we play the games.

We are too banged up and not getting much scoring anymore, especially now that Stoll is out. Since Smyth went down Kopitar has been lost out there. Brown can't hit the broad side of a barn door. Williams...so so....

the stage is set for a win - kings played and lost last night - lost stoll - lost an hour - probably are freezing their balls off and oilers have had 3 days off and obviously have some kind of chemistry together

everything says we win ... but you never know with this team

JDD needs to start stronger and not put us behind the 8ball so early

if we come out and pound the kings early this should be an easy game for us

i say we win 5-1

he is frustrating to watch sometimes but with that being said he is one of the best players in the league at his position and id rather go to war with him than with out.

if the penner line was still playing well and hemsky and horcoff and who ever are playing well then we have 2 good scoring lines. sooner or later teams are going to figure out that line and we will need to have a second unit that can score. some teams still think horcoff line is the power line so the penner line plays the lesser talent...(as per quins comment after the detroit game i think). i dont know i just think we are better off with our point leader for the last few years than with out.

No offense, but your not going to get any sympathy for injured players here man. Oilers are leaps and bounds ahead of LA when it comes to man games lost.
