More than likely be S. Kost to start, but would be interested to see if Pouliot could make that line better. Need someone who can put some pucks in the net.

Gionta, Brian.

Considering Pouliot is still young and has more potential than Sergei, Pouliot should get a shot. However, when Pouliot returns, Pyatt goes down. When Gionta returns, who goes down ? That's the main question.

Pleks, Ak, Cammalleri
Gomer, Gio, sk/Pouliot
Moen Metro sk/pouliot
Lapierre, Pacs ? D'ags ? Laraque ? Maybe leave Pyatt up ? Bergeron ?

Markov - Mara /O'bryne (more than likely Mara)
Spacek - Hammer
Gill - Gorges.

Out of top 9 forwards, only Moen and Metro could defend themselves.

Out of our d, not including O'bryne, Mara, Gill and Gorges could defend themselves, but Gill not too well and Gorges isn't a prize fighter either.

We all know Laraque is slow as **** and very rarely just goes out there and fights someone. Greg Stewart sucks, so he's not an option. So, if he's not playing, that pretty much leaves Moen to be the enforcer.

Team toughness... We should probably focus on that rather than who will get the A when players return, or whatever. Mainly because, this guarantees a spot for Laraque.

Sergei Kostitsyn has 1 hit in 11 games. The hell happened to his fiery attitude ?

FYI, Lats is still 4th on our team in hits. Ryan White is 7th. Man, I want him back up.

I wish Montréal would tell this to their players. A coach once said to me, if you're going to skate 50 feet, 100, 200, or whatever to make the guy move the puck, skate 2 more feet and hit him.

it's between S.Kost and Pouliot depending on how each of them play they could very well rotate . it would depend on how each of them play ,and I'm not saying Pacioretty won't play on the line . just that Pouliot and S.Kost will be there more if they play good ,as I think they want Pacioretty to play on a lower line working on his positioning and defensive play. Pouliot will start on the 3rd line is my guess but like I said if he plays good it's a battle between him and S.Kost for the 2nd line spot.

The way I see it, is Benoit is going to play with Scott and Sergei, because I believe he will be back before Gionta, then Martin will make up his mind who stays with Gomez is it Sergei or Ben.

The Gomez hate is getting pathetic on these boards. If he was floating like Kovalev, I'd understand, but he's ****ing not.
Both Sergei K. and Gomez need Gionta badly. Playing with Lapierre certainly does not help.

Anyways, my guess would be that Pouliot will be back before Gionta and we will see a line of Gomez centering Pouliot and Sergei first.

Sergei for sure, until anyone else can prove otherwise. I don't expect Pouliot to be able to based on his current track record.

It's be great if Pouliot played well enough to deserve a spot on that 2nd line. Has the skill, and a bit more of the size, needed to work on a scoring line with Gomez and Gionta.

Another part of me wants to see him flourish at the centre position. In a year or two I'd love to see a (pipe dream) 2nd line of:
MaxPac - Pouliot - Gionta
third line:
S.Kost - Gomez - Moen

But for now, the most realistic is S.Kost, so I guess I'll vote for him.

Tanguay. Trade for him as he is out of favor in Tampa. Being benched next game.

Pouliot-Gomez-Gionta
Cammalleri-Plekanec-Kostitsyn
Maxpac-Metro-Sergei
Moen-Lappierre-Laraque

Markov-O'Byrne
Hammer-Spacek
Gill-Georges
Bergeron

That's been my line-up for 3 weeks now and i'm sticking with it.

Now there is an idea, lets get a player that is benched by his team so we can do the same. The guy is butter, who gives a rats ass about the bum !

Well, Gomez sure needs Gionta. Heh. I'd try S. Kostitsyn given that Pacioretty didn't really gel well at the start of the year with those two.

True, it was a silly comment. He's doing better than Sergei Kostitsyn as you mentioned.

But it's certainly not surprising that Gomez is such a lightning rod for criticism - his production (perhaps not play, that's subjective) is not better than the longtime captain he replaced at a considerable cost.

Someone else blamed it on the "dogs" he's playing with. There's a pretty good chance he'll continue to be playing with one of those "dogs" when Gionta comes back.

From our current lineup, probably Sergei Kostitsyn.

I wouldn't want to play with the chemistry that Pleks, Cammy, and AK46 have, so ideally you'd want Sergei playing with Gomez and Gionta. Hopefully this would give us two good scoring lines, as opposed to the one scoring line we had at the beginning of the season when the big 3 were together.
