Tired of Lapierre`s Antics

I`m sooo tired of watching Lapierre running around and mouthing guys, threatning to drop his gloves but ya know he`s not. Saturday night was an just horrible when he dropped the gloves and just held on.You could see him saying " please don`t hit me". Both guys looked like a couple of girls out there who didn`t have a clue how to throw a punch....ha ha........Lapierre,learn how to fight and and start dropping the gloves because your showing us that your gutless. ... drop the gloves and throw some punches.

All the better if he pisses of other teams players and make them take bad penalties. I'd like that to happen more often.

Also didn't he fight and get his head smashed last game? I don't want him to make a Kostopoulos of himself too often (unless he gets to fight other team's good players, in last night case Bogosian)

I'd rather see him helping our team than spend time in the box.

If you're that sick of our players, change team for **** sake.

Seriously though, complain about his lack of energy or his poor play as you wish, but to complain about whether he fights or not is stupid.

You look like a damn baby out there. I don't even know what you're crying about exactly. You complain he's not fighting enough, then you come back and say he shouldn't fight, because he had the lower hand against a bigger Boogosian.

Make up your ****ing mind! damn. He's an agitator and he's not a great fighter. He's not the only one in the league, and his "antics" don't make us lose games. You hate the player, that's it, stop looking for opportunities to bash him.

Stupid thread.

Zach would beat up everybody in our lineup not named laraque.

Getting under the other team's skin is part of his job description. Why is that so hard for some to grasp, did you just start watching hocjey this week?

When good players on other teams are busy trying to get at or fighting with Lapierre it probably takes them off their game.

Lapierre should work on the parts of his game that can help the team, and he can always do it while playing with some edge. But yeah, his smugness and ego is writing cheques his fists can't cash.

Nice try, though.

O'Byrne's really an underrated fighter in the hockey world. Plus, I'm pretty sure Mara, Moen, and even Gill could make a good fight against him.

O'byrne pounded him last year, unless he changed his name to Ryan O'byrne-Laraque. I'm sure Moen Gill and Mara could take him also.

Are you trying to set a HF Boards record for most pointless threads started?

I'd really like the OP to get into a fight against either Lapierre or Boogosian though. Especially on skates. I don't know who you're trying to fool exactly, but the more I read your thread, the more it looks like you just want to bash the **** out of a player you hate.

I just can't see why people mind about this. As long as it doesn't make us lose, what the **** is the big deal? You're not even on the ice to see/hear what he says and how he acts. As long as it helps the team and it doesn't hurt us, how could any Habs fan complain about it?

Seriously, I'm not a big fan of Lapierre, but even I can see you have an agenda and you just hate the guy basically. Hang off.

If it helps the team to win, or at least if it doesn't hurt the team, as a fan, then why the hell do you complain? That's what I can't get over... It's not like your own reputation was on the line or if it involved anything negative for you as a Habs fan...

You know your agitator is doing his job well when even his own team's fans are agitated by him.

I agree.

If he drops the gloves once in a while to man up (even if he gets a bad beating or looks silly) I'm happy. If he can annoy, disturb, make other players take penalties, it helps the team. I thought it was great he dropped them with Bogosian...

yes as did i,,,,but he just held on,,,,Look at Steve Begin,he had no problems throwing punches and he did the same some as a agitator.

He's no different than Patrick Kaleta or Matt Cooke...there's two other pain in the butts that cant scrap to save their lives.

If Lapierre can get the rest of his game going...play like he did last season, then i for one have no problem with his game.

The only way Lapierre is going to learn is if he fights. Not to mention he got one of Atlantas better players off the ice for 5 min.

And BTW Travis Moen/Hal Gill could hold there own in fights too eh.
