I think we get the idea. You have a man crush on artyukhin.

ya enjoy that time down in Hamilton .

1 hit last season? YOUR missing the point.

tell me the last habs to injury another player clean?

tell me the last habs you know BROKE the glass checking a player.

tell me the last habs who putout the opposing teams top 3 scorer for 8 weeks with a major body check .

tell me the last Hab *beside BGL who fought Chara...*(how did that go?)

sorry no man crush , but for all the reasons some wanted BGL , i want ART76 and let him bust up bodies with the chance of taking out TOP PLAYERS or making them SORE

what im trying to say is

Laraque takes out Thorton for 5 minutes thats great, fun to watch

vs

Arthuykin busts up a top scorer on the other team (hey during as playoff series??? what could that be worth?>?>)

id take this over a staged fight anyday.

if im a GM or coach,I would trade 8 staged Laraque fights for Arthuykin taking out Tanguay for 8 weeks.

It's worth a hell of alot more .

You drool on his 3, 4 highlight plays he did over 2 years, Arthuykin has had a terrible season as of now, and like it's been mentioned earlier, he fights when he's pissed off, not to protect his teammates, wich this season has happened once. Honestly i don't care that once upon a time he broke the glass or injured a player with 1 hit.

Metro was on WAIVERS

You dont care about "once apon a time "? what im trying to show you is this guy isnt a CREAM PUFF when he hits.

You ya like those little love taps in the corners, ME i like guys that hit HARD and like a tatoo it stays with the opponent@!

bllaaa bllaaa bllaaa he;s having a BAD SEASON? ya 9 pts in 33 games playing 5-6 mins a night .(go ask Benny P how he's doing in Minny with low icetime)

give that icetime to Dags or Pacman .....oh how they doing?

Sergei K no problem watching him without points in 17-20 games ....No problem seeing Laps not score...no problem (until today seeing DGO AND PACMAN not score) what the heck man ...seriously

no "drool here" , i want 255lb big man(who can hit and hurt people)....you'd prefer im sure to watch 190 lbs keep skating around out there.

Sheldon Souray (i read on other board) will waive his No trade to come back eastern teams.

I say we move BGL back to Oiler land in a package

we take back Sheldon in a package.

Captian Souray.

How about this guy..

http://www.hockeyfights.com/fights/87815

Good thing BGL doesn't have to face this guy.

I also agree on Artyukhin, this is all ANA gave up for him.........

Drew Miller and a third-round selection in 2010

how about D'ags + 3rd??

I thought I read he'd only waive his no trade clause if it was to stay in the Western Conference...

I wouldn't give up much for Souray. Oiler fans are complaining he has not been same since concussion and Souray's cap hit is 5.4 million for next 2 seasons. I would gamble a Spacek but that is all I would offer them

If he is goona consider east teams then why not come back to where he is loved? Our team isnt anything like when he left. It's 99% different now .(still got his buddy Markov, everything else is gone(no Kovy,Ribs etc)

Give him the C and play out as a hab, take the ceremony at centre ice.

I say send Laraque back home where he loves and is loved
Sheldon come back and retire a hab.

Quote:
Souray doesn't have a no-movement clause in the last two years of his five-year deal but if he's going to be moved before the end of the season, he'll have to be satisfied with the trade.

"It would have to be a good situation and it would have to be a good team. Family is as important to me as the game and that's why I first signed in Edmonton."

A big consideration for Souray is his two kids who live in Los Angeles. He remembers 10-hour travel days for his oldest daughter to come see him when he played in Montreal. He wants to avoid getting any farther away from his two girls but that’s not to suggest that west is best for the defenceman.

"I would consider Eastern teams," the three-time All-Star said. "It could be East or West. I mean maybe they keep me or maybe they don't. They might do something or they might not do anything. For now it's important to be professional. When I come to the rink I'm still proud to be an Oiler."

How long he remains one is another question.

If you read the ANA boards they are talking like they wont' keep him next year and also looking over their roster they have no other Russians that he can talk with so I am thinking this may have some real possibilites. I am sure Markov and the K bros would welcome him. Plus he is a UFA at seasons end currently making $950,000

They are also loving Chips as their 3rd line center...........

no need to convince me.if i was GM the trade would be already made.

I say he needs to come to a hockey crazy market.(Tampa,Ducks,no offense but get him(out of the sun) and into Montreal where he will become fans favorite with his body checks.Bell Centre will go crazy i know it .Everyone remembers how the fans love Begin speeding around out there smoking ppl? Or TKO hitting people, well this guy does the same most nights at 255lbs 6ft5 and is a freaking tank with more speed.

We got Russian teamates for him/we got hockey mad city where he will become instant hit(no pun intended)

we got both.

he only got 179 games in the leauge,42pts.<any of the crazy goon types like Carcillio have no better numbers and no more hits, dont hit as hard or i dont think can stand up to Chara as well if that ever flares up again. (i might be wrong)

...and when he fought chara, notice he was going back to confront LUCIC first until dude steps in front of him and CHara pokes him from the side, then it was on with Chara(who i say he rattled Chara's cage at the end of that fight )

Big big man who hits(and it hurts) .

he did play a year of jr in Moncton NB so he's been around some french in Moncton and Tampabay(vinny/ marty)

His physicalness would really stand out on this team , as we dont got a whole lot of guys banging and this will be the killer come playoffs.

Artyukhin interview (look at those shoulders)
http://kings.nhl.tv/team/console?type=fvod&id=30576

i do something like this until AK comes back ,Platoon ART up with Cam and Plek see how it works out,.It wont be due to lack of speed or ability to keep upto them , thats for sure.

Cammalleri
Plekanec
Artyukhin

when AK comes back

Moen -
Metropolit
Artyukhin

I want as a UFA for now , no trades

forwards:

Steve Ott
Evgeny Artyukhin

Dman :

Anton Volchenkov
Dan Hamhuis
Shaone Morrisonn

S-Kost - Steve Ott - Moen
White - Lapierre - Artyukhin

Trade

Hamrlik at the deadline (clear out 5.5 millions)
Mara - if someone take him (clears out 1.6 millions)
Spacek - Too old , bad signing (clears out 3.8 milion)
Trade Gill to a contending team ( clears out 2.25 millions)
Trade Metropolit (1 million)
trade Bergeron (750 000 $)

15 million available

re-sign Plekanec for 5.5 million or 5.8 (2.75 more)

12 million approx available

re-sign the other players.

let's say we have 10 million available after that ... 1 year RFA

Make a big push for Volchenkov and Dan Hamhuis (one of the 2 or both)

try to sign Shaone Morrison after making the push for Volchenkov and Hamhuis if we don't get both of them

S-Kost - Steve Ott - Moen
White - Lapierre - Artyukhin

Markov - O'byrne
Hamhuis - Volchenkov
Gorges - Subban

way better improvement on the D ... but Gainey is too dumb , he commited WAYYY too much money on Dman that are not good enough and too old

If Gainey should makes a trade, i say go for Malone and Ott.

Halak + Pacioretty = Malone + Meszaros
Tampa is rebuilding and badly need a #1 goalie and a good prospect
Montreal need a power forward with size and good hands, and get Meszaros who know a bad season but could be a steal if he turns into a la Pouliot.

Spacek = Ott

Montreal need a ***** like Ott who can skate and fights.
Dallas need a puck moving d-man. Spacek is their guy.

Pouliot-Gomez-Gionta
AK-46 - Plekanec - Cammy
Malone - Ott - Moen
Lapierre - Metro - Bergeron

Markov-Hammer
O'Byrne-Meszaros
Gill-Gorges

Price
Sanford (or Desjardins)

bringing in a chitdistuber is dangerous Unless you got guys who can fight the war.(if one erupts)

im unsure our team is built to war....hence just bringin in a chitdisturber might be alot more than we bargin for .

good analysis

Malone + Meszarov for Halak and Paciorrety is a strong deal but Meszarov is signed for 4 million and Malone 4.5 ...

too much money committed , but if Hamrlik / Gill and Spacek are gone , i'll say yes because we will also have enough money to re-sign plekanec also and the other players

But as a better fit I was thinking of

Steve Downie + Meszarov for Halak + 3rd pick + D'agostini [/B]

Halak for Meszarov

Downie for D'agostini + 3rd pick ... seems fair value , D'agostini ain't doing much right now but was good last year and still young (23) and a 3rd pick is not bad

we keep Paciorrety and we bring him slow but surely to be a good 3rd liner with grit and size

Remember we still have S-KOSTITSYN

who do you want to keep more Paciorrety or S-Kostitsyn ??? S-Kostitsyn have a spot on the team for sure ... IMO we should let him ride the third line and see what he can do next year while paciorrety is in the minor

i don't put S.kosty on my line up because i'm sick of him. Everyone is waiting for him to be a great goal scorer and a great playmaker but what does he prove right now? Nothing... He's having a bad season, send down to Hamilton, called up and made poor stats

Not Ott.

Guys I like from Dallas: Neal and Benn up front, Woywitka and Fortunus on D. Fistric too but probably untouchable.

I think a guy like Alexai Ponikarovsky would be a good fit. Size, can score, a good fit for our third line. As an added bonus, if he can find some chemistry with Pleks and Camms it gives us the option of keeping the brothers together on the third line.

To Montreal:

Sheldon Souray + Jean-Francois Jacques + Andrew Cogliano

To Edmonton:

Roman Hamrlik + Jaroslav Halak + Maxim Lapierre + Matt D'Agostini

Cammalleri - Plekanec - Kostitsyn
