Me thinks the Kings are an exhausted bunch. Their play last night indicated that. I'm not expecting them to play any different that what we saw in yesterday's game.
I agree. Kings have been 'off' for what 2 or 3 weeks now. It's amazing what our record is considering the schedule and injuries.
Just to look at the numbers:
Oct. 3 to Dec. 17 = 76 days for 37 gp (16 home/21 away) 8 day break for holidays
Dec. 26 to Feb. 13 = 50 days for 24 gp (14 home/10 away including 5 game trip in Eastern Time Zone) 16 day break for Olympics
Mar. 2 to Apr. 11 = 41 days for 21 gp (11 home/10 away)
Basically a game evey other day except for the two long breaks. I think the Kings depth and maturity will carry them through fairly well.
The break can't come fast enough, I've gotta say. This has all the makings of being one weird, unpredictable game. The Oilers are going for their sixth win in a row after a long three-day break, and the Kings played the night before and are incredibly banged up. Should be an interesting one!
