With Hemsky, the play dies more often than not this year...at least from a visual standpoint. Can't say statistically but we weren't that great before anyway.
This game is one of those that shows why we still need Khabbi [unless we decide to tank].
And what did I say about don't fix what's not broken
Wonder how Struds would fare in place of Grebs?
Strudwick doesn't have the foot speed to keep up with many players but at least he tries to make the simple, smart play when he acquires the puck. Watching Grebeshkov is downright embarrassing. The panic level is off the charts.
We lost this game for one reason and one reason only: Our Powerplay is comically pathetic. It is by far the worst I've seen in the NHL. Even the most inefficient PP's in this league are able to.. I don't know... Set it up in the zone for longer than 5 seconds?
The post game comments should be focused completely on the fact that they need to get their heads out of their ***** on the PP, and they need to do it now.
Like many of the games last year, special teams destroyed them. The only difference is this year (for some reason) the Oilers are one of the least penalized teams in the league.
If they had any kind of PP whatsoever, they win this game. Lord knows how they got that 13th ranking.
Really didn't like Quinn's use of players on the PP.
Hemsky might frustrate some of you guys, but he is our best player at gaining the zone on the PP with control. In his absence, we need to get Visnovsky on the 1st unit, because he is the only other player on the team that can skate it into the zone with success.
Also I have no idea why he matched Horcoff and Penner up
Are you talking about the 4 on 4? I don't know why he doesn't have Penner with Brule together 4 on 4. They are the duo that needs to stick together.

It's been 133 games since they did it last time.
Thanks for that, I asked in the GDT. It feels as though it has been longer. Or wait...we're almost in 2010! So ya, that sounds about right...close to 2 years.

I don't understand why the 4th line was benched for so long. They said he benched them in the 2nd and most of the 3rd.
