Russian camp will last until the 18th. The team will then fly to Canada and play a couple of friendlies with Swiss and Latvia.

Also, the financially troubled Lada declined to pay for the trip and equipment of its two players. Not sure if the players made it.

I didn't feel like translating it by hand and used Google Translate instead. That's pretty funny. Thanks for the correction.

According to one of the Panthers' beat writers George Richards, who is very reliable, Kulikov will not be loaned to Russia for the WJC. From last week.

Yeah, im sure a few of those guys wont be playing due to club restrictions.

Filatov is still eligible? Is he going to be allowed to play? He could easily be the best forward there if he does play.

Has the reason for Ostapchuk's banning by the IIHF been released?

Ostapchuk won't make it due to his Quebec team not releasing him.

Grachev, Kulikov, and Voynov might not make it for similar reasons.

I don't believe that!! A junior team not releasing a player for the WJC? NO WAY!!! I've never seen that in my life so far!!!

Klementyev cut? Interesting seeing the thinness of the defense. Again disappointed to see Avtsin, Kuchin and the other guys omitted.
For the teams that are restricting players from playing, why do this. Shouldn't these minor/junior teams be trying to "grease the wheels" of these players for playing for them. I mean it is a minor perk to allow these guys a few games off to play in the WJ's. Unless of course the players aren't in fact disgruntled and actually prefer to stay with there club teams? Who knows..........
