Quinn going on a diet? Robin Brownlee 290?

istening to the oiler's lunch and just a game they were talking about Quinn going on a diet and trying to lose 60 pounds my june

60 pounds!? I did not realize that quinn was that big and then Brownlee said he was 290 pounds? I have never seen a picture of brownlee--so I don't know if he is joking about his weight or not.

But quinn trying to shed 60 pounds got my attention. I am not the most healthiest guy in the world--I am six foot two and tip thye scales at 210 pounds

If Quinn is that over weight where he needs to shed 60pounds--this should be a concern for the oilers becuase of the stress and other things.

Should be interesting to see how the diet goes

and of Brownlee is 290 that is scarey

If you're 187cm and 95kg, you probably don't have anything to worry about.

I heard about this too - Quinn's former diet consisted of: roster depleting sickness/illness with a side of poor team identity. The Oilers served it up in spades.

Now that he is leaning out, Quinn is going to localize his diet and feed from individual players - starting with Patty O'Sullivan who seems ripe for consuming by all accounts.

probably not. But, I'm still annoyed. she put us both through 4 weeks of hell to take off 5 pounds, [which I never thought she needed to lose anyway] - but even worse is that afterwards, its not like I could tell. I mean, she looked the same,,,,so what the hell was that even for? Just to make me miserable?

Anyway, --- Quinn though, with a whopping 60 pounds to lose, he could be mighty cranky for quite some time.....

A cranky Quinn is exactly what the doctor ordered for the Oilers (vets in particular).

Gone are the days of that complacent smug coaching style of MacT. So far the vets haven't done a thing for this team (injuries or not and hemsky included). Our vet core has radiated that attitude and has nothing to show for it.

This will be a vastly changed org by the time Hemsky returns. ACCOUNTABILITY or answer to grumpy coach Quinn. Put up or shut up.

Are you saying he's going to eat POS? Cause at 290 its entirely possible.

It doesn't sound that hard. I once dropped 35 pounds in about 2 months. Just ate healthier and less often and ran on a treadmill about 40-60 minutes a day. A bit of it was muscle loss though because I stopped lifting weights at the time.

Yeah, I know... I lost a bit of muscle I said. I curl and press about 5-10 pounds less than I used to. I'm just getting back to lifting.

Us women always want to lose 5 pounds, and we're the only ones that see this exta 5 pounds. I always get told I don't need to lose anything, but I would still like to drop 5.

Just to expand on this further, I am still wearing the same size pants as I did before I gained the 5 pounds that I want to lose.

Those sweat pants really work, don't they?

I lost over 30 lbs in less than 3 months. It is doable but you do lose a lot more muscle than you really want to.

witho9ut going too off topic, a few years ago while casting a movie that started the lead from ugly betty--they had an open casting call in LA asking for over weight women--when the day rolled around about 4000 women showed up saying they were over weight---the producers stated that in fact only maybe 5 or 6 were over weight and the rest were normal looking.

Now that he has gone public, and said he'll loose 60 lbs, he'd better deliver. There is no excuse for not suceeding. If he can't make it, he's just plain dumb!

Well I am normal looking, and normal weighing...but like I said, us women always have 5 pounds that we want to lose. If the 5 pounds was actually visable to others, I'd do something about it lol but since I'm the only one that notices it I just continue on with my day.
