How were we left with Boucher as our only option? Seems like every team in the league has two starters.
Honestly the best thing to do would be to drop back in the game and play D first for now. There is no reason for us be playing such a high risk system with such bad D and a lack of idea of how to play the system correctly. We need to give uo 22 shots a game and hope to score a few. During that time Lavi can teach his system.
Can't believe how quickly you all are turning on Boucher. Short memories I suppose? Outside of the first game against SJ and this game, he's been terrific and it isn't his fault that he's been forced to play every game in the starters role due to our actual starter being injured. Not his fault. He's a backup being forced to play almost every game for a month. That's fact. He's going to put a stinker up every once in a while.
Hell, he just finished up a back-to-back against two great teams. In neither game was the team in front of him very supportive.
As for everything else, well, go Eagles and go Phillies I guess. At least on 06 we had Forsberg and Gagne and some nice young talent to develop.
This Winter Classic is going to suck balls at this rate.
