As a long time fan, I've been through worse times than this.

6 points out of a playoff spot, Lets go Jackets!

This is the classic, win and then hear about it from the Hitch defenders as why we shouldn't give up on him...

They're will be a Dave King sighting for sure tonight and he may channel the inner 00-01 Jackets tonight....

I'll say we go 3 wins in 15 games tonight, 2-1 jackets.

My thoughts exactly. How quickly can expectations change. People seem to forget just how truly bad this team has been - and that was the level they were supposed to be at. Now, everybody is wetting themselves over playing badly because the team is supposed to be better. This stretch of games is what is going to cause people to stop buying season tickets, or watching games? ...

Screw it. I am not going to write a long drawn out post comparing now with then. You wanna jump off the bandwagon -GO! Just don't come back, ever. Pittsburgh and Detroit will welcome you.

As for me, while I won't be there in person, I will be watching on tv to see the beginning of the 6 game win streak.

Not being happy with losing doesn't equal 'jumping off the bandwagon'.

If you're happy with losing, that's your problem.

'cause that's what I said. Not freaking out is not the same as being happy with losing. Something is wrong, but I am pretty sure the people who can fix it are working on it.

So we get another backup, LaBarbera is in net so is Garon the CBJ.

Let's see, Yotes played and won last night. They are starting their backup, hmmm, we have been down this road before.

Well, it felt like you were calling me out (and others) for not being satisfied with mediocrity, if that's not what you were saying, my bad.
I've been here through the worst of times, and I'm not going to root for Detroit or Pitt anytime soon, or ever.
I've been a Browns fan all my life, this is cake compared to that.

Labarbera was in net the last time these teams played at Nationwide, a 4-1 loss on Oct. 28.

I was hoping no one was going to do a GDT as a (no) show of our disgust with the team.

Another loss coming up. Tomorrow's practice is cancelled as a reward. Hitch will find another scapgeoat. Can't blame this one on Methot.

Don't pull the Browns card, I got you beat. I was born a Texas Rangers fan. A lifetime of hurt that has been, at least the Browns has some success in the '80s. But hey, at least we aren't Lions fans?

Yes I am calling you and others out, but not for not being satisfied with mediocrity. Nobody should be satisfied with that.

But, what I see from many here feels like hair trigger panic. Full fight or flight response. Fire everybody, make a trade, do something! There are several issues that are hurting on ice performance this year, and I believe they have combined into one big monolith of suck right now:

1. Compressed schedule - yeah, I know, other teams are surviving, but we got too many young guys who are not used to the full rigors of a NHL season.
2. Injuries in game - How many games have the CBJ finished with less than the full 20 on the bench? How many times has somebody been injured in-game and that game turned out as a loss.
3. Sophomore slump - Mason, Voracek, Brassard. I am hoping it is just a sophomore slump.
4. Long term injuries - Klesla, Modin, Commodore. All have been taken out by long term injury or illness. I believe that Commodore has still not fully recovered.
5. Filatov - I think this was a distraction in the locker room, and a bigger one for the fan base. He would be far better served playing in Syracuse, but I am convinced that his mommy convinced him to go home.
6. Leadership - Did not like giving Nash the C when it happened, don't like it now. He is not vocal, just not his style. Take the C and give it to Umberger.
7. Coaching - Inconsistency. I have never liked minute by minute line combo changes that Hitch does. Frankly, I think he is close to panic mode now.
8. Confidence - There is none. Everybody is afraid to make the mistake that costs the game.

I really do think that all it takes right now is a solid injury free win or two and they can start getting themselves back into it. How or when those wins happen will determine the fate of this season.

Losing this game will kill any spirit the Jacket nation has left, perhaps the players as well. It's a must win.

The problem is Phoenix is playing well and Shane Doan wants a win badly..

Jackets 3-2.

Sure is!

I have talked to many fans, and I kinda feel this way too . . . If we lose tonight right before a 4 game road trip, well, I dont wanna say thats the season but its gonna be one helluva climb back to the top. On the other side, winning this wont cure everything but it sure would be a great start. I will be there tonight and every night, regardless of much money it is, how great or how bad the team is doing.

We're 1-5 against these guys in the last 6, and they generally physically beat us up. Who knows, flip a coin on who wins this one.

Records for Dec
Jackets 1-7
Yotes 5-2

This was originally one of my Pepsi ticket games but, due to a final, I had to swap those tickets out for the Nashville game Monday.

Now I don't have that final anymore as it was take home, yet I don't get to go to this game & had to watch the suckage against the Preds.

Which means the CBJ pulls out a big win tonight.

If the players starting crapping it up, make sure you aim for them.

I'd be at the game, but I was riding the Believe Train a little too hard last night.
