That's really not such a bad suggestion. Of course, the guy must learn the different aspects of playing forward. He looked a little lost on quite a few occasions out there and he's not the toughest but he does have great hockey sense and scoring ability. I would give him a shot along Gomez and Gionta.
I've liked the idea ever since I saw him on the fourth line. He was relegated back to D due to injuries but rest assured he'll be back on forward when we're healthy......and might actually do well! He's got decent wheels with a hard accurate shot to boot. I'm still unsure of his creativity and decision making as a forward but I wouldn't be surprised if he's able to climb up a line or two should the young ones falter.

Hockey sense? You must be kidding. Other than his shot this guy has the skill of a semi-pro. He can barely skate or handle the puck. Play him on the fourth line to minimize his time at 5-on-5 and get him on the power play where he's actually useful.
I wouldn't put him on a third line because he has no defensive presence playing as a forward (or a defenseman for that matter) and he doesn't have the skill to replace someone in the top 6.
Who are you doing to demote? Sergei? D'Agostini? Pacioretty?
Tell me one thing that MAB would do better than those guys, other than shooting while standing still.
Here's an even better solution, let's bring Subban up and play him as a forward, lol.
The difference is one has hockey sense and the other does not.
well ... although i'd agree streit is clearly miles away from bergeron in arguably every aspect of the game... as a forward, and a dman ... I like the fact that he is shot oriented ... he has space? he shoots... we have been lacking that for years and I'm glad him, A.kos and others are getting the puck at the net more often recently... thats the impression i get....havent looked at numbers...
