Thread title is quite embarrassing, especially given the other "waaa the refs hate us" thread.

Once again, the reffing had nothing to do with why the Oilers lost. They lost because they gave up 4 unanswered goals. They lost because, once again, Horcoff (-2) and O'Suillivan (-1) were leading the Minus Parade.

Through all this, Tambo plays his fiddle.

Rob Brown made a good point about how this team spends too much time in there own end. The offence is usually one and out and the D have to spend a lot of energy in their end, but the D usually chase the puck in their own end anyway which lead to their own demise.

Cmon Mentallydull, we have lost five straight at home, you know what I watched this game with an open mind, they played great for the first two periods and then crapped the bed in the third. We are close to last in the Western Conference again after a successful road trip and I understand why people are negative, hell I am one of the most negative.

Anyone who doesn't see that right now is either mentally unfit, or a member of the Oilers management team.

You know what makes a loss even more frustrating?
...still watching CBC and having to listen to PJ Stock as there is nothing else on TV

Really, stop embarrassing yourself by complaining about the officiating.

As much as this team sucks , and it does:
Did the reffs miss goaltender interference ?
Did the reffs miss slashing
Did the reffs miss interference?
Did the reffs totally **** up the call to Penner?
Jesus Christ IAL what ****ing game were you watching?

The reffs were bought, paid for, licked AO's balls on center ice and ****ed you up the ass and you can't tell?

There's no point to even icing a team, really , just have the ****ing reff do a coin toss at center ice as to who will win and forget televising it.

we held a vote and we go upon cap hits and not how much people get paid per year(it causes more headaches)

The referee's are at fault for this? Are you kidding?

The referees had nothing to do with the oiler turn-overs, inability to finish, poor decisions, low intensity in the 3rd, and lack of tenacity in puck battles. Bad calls happen to every team in the league, but it never excuses poor play.

This team badly needs a changing of the guard, start moving out the grossly under-performing vets and large amount of complimentry players to make a push for the first overall pick for a couple of years. This team with this vet core has accomplished nothing over the last 3 years, and shows no sign what-so-ever of improving in the future with all the passengers, declining leaders, and lack of impact prospects.

exactly.... people talk about the 5 game win streak like it changed something with the oilers.... i just don't see how people could watch those games and think that we had magically become a playoff team.... we simply don't have enough skill in the lineup (even when fully healthy) to make the playoffs.... you take our best player out for the season and that skill level drops considerably

we're a lottery team and have been ever since the hemsky injury ... the faster management accepts this the better... then maybe they can start getting rid of the players that *should* have been let go two fricken seasons ago ... this team needs a full rebuild from top to bottom.... no time like the present... we need to start fresh, build around the 4-5 good players we have and let the rest go for whatever we can get for them

the full rebuild that should have happened 3 years ago NEEDS to happen at some point, if we don't do it this year, we're gonna have to live with this crap next year again.... until a full rebuild happens we'll be stuck in this same rut.... it needs to happen!

You go with youth and I can guarantee, the Oilers won't be getting any PPs but will sure as hell be on the PK the entire game. Refs hate teams that go with youth.

Thing is, I don't know what the Oilers do. Horcoff and O' Sullivan are supposed to be the Oilers 2 best defensive responsible forwards, but they are getting eaten alive by other team's big guns. Who else can handle that?

That's fine. We get stupid or take stupid penalties now. I see no difference.

They also had the toughest assignment....and by the way Nilsson was a -2, Staios -2, Grebeshkov -2, Gagner -1, Vishnovsky -1, Stone -1, Penner -1, Smid -1
