Back-to-back titles is considered a dynasty now?

Considering they have only been back to the tournament once since those titles (eliminated in the first round), I think that should disqualify them from being considered a dynasty.

In today's age of players bolting as soon as they are considered a borderline lottery pick, it's almost impossible to build a real dynasty.

Arace provided this link in today's blog:

It's a Pepsi commercial centered on the SA World Cup. I thought it was pretty good!

My favorite call was the foul when Diebler stole the ball after the 7-0 run. Clean as day.

yeah, and then right after that the guy comes over Turner to steal it on the next possession. pretty brutal, but it was going like that for both teams.

what really pissed me off, is that with 32 seconds left, down by one, 3 timeouts...they go down the floor and don't call a timeout. Turner tries to score a forced one with like 12 seconds. just call a timeout and get the last shot, is it that complicated?

the columbus native in me is sad that tOSU lost...but the Gator in me enjoys the tears of "buckeye fan"...

- in case the term "buckeye fan" is misunderstood....it is in reference to the over the top, every call went against us, do you know who we are, our #@*$ doesn't stink, we don't lose, there is an excuse to what happened, so on, so on, and so on crowd....

I actually feel for regular, everyday, buckeye fan....

No offense, but you could substitute a long list of teams in the phrase "Buckeye Fan."

Gator Fan
Sooner Fan
Longhorn Fan
Yankee Fan
Red sox Fan
Wolverine Fan
Red Wing fan
Patriot Fan
Etc, etc, etc.

After watching Tennessee shutdown Ohio's guards last weekend, I thought OSU may be a little overconfident. Tennessee is a real good team. Beat Kansas and Kentucky... And Ohio And OSU.

none taken, I'm not so naive that I don't know that every big time fan base has those fans...but growing up here in cbus, its really what turned me off from ever fully rooting for tOSU...i've been in verbal sparring battles with "Gator-fan" b/c of those same tendancies...it really puts a black eye on the fan bases when that happens....

the same would be true of the schools if I grew up in norman, in ann arbor, pasadena, austin, tallahassee, or gainesville....

I know what you are talking about, and growing up not far from OSU made me a lifer for OSU. When I was younger, the pack of wolves mentality was ever present, now I root for OSU teams because it is in my blood, not with the "sense of entitlement" attitude.

In other news, is there anyone outside of North Carolina who wants to see Duke win tomorrow?

I do, but only so that coach K can make more AmEx commercials. I miss those.

The Lizard needs to go. He sits there and watches Cordero implode in the bottom of the ninth to lose the game.

Big Ten expanding perhaps up to 16 teams....

It seems that that the big ten wants to expand more into the east coast, and I still think if they want to put more pressure ND and force their hand, they would be better served by taking at least one or two more teams west of South Bend, Maybe Iowa State or Nebraska or Missouri if possible...

I wouldnt mind Pitt, Rutgers or West Virginia... Syracuse would be a huge boon if nothing else than for Basketball.

Has it been discussed what will happen to the name "Big 10" if/when this happens?
