I haven't heard anything about it, I assumed it would stay as a homage to its ten original members... afterall, they didn't rename it when Penn State came aboard.

NFL schedule released. Anybody else sick of ESPN really shoving these Jets/Pats games as "must sees" down our throats?

Seriously... This is on of those "Media Rivalries" that got hyped up by Rex Ryan opening his mouth last year...

Its like they are trying to tie it to the Red Sox and Yankees....

I'm more sick of the NFL being shown down our throats. I like Football (not as much as hockey) but having a 2 hour special for the Schedule Release Day is extreme overkill.

I know Football is extremely popular but that's just weird to me...

I agree, but then again, I tuned into the Canadian Media and their half hour show on who won the draft lottery...

I guess that's why there's different networks for different sports, so that people can see what they want.

Now all I have to do is wait for the Cricket, Curling, Bobsleigh, Jai alai, Snooker, Rugby, Fencing, Aussie Football, and Badmitton channels.

Or ESPN could just hurry up and give us the Ocho already.

My interest in the NFL is dying, partly because of what Samkow said, and partly because the Browns suck. I can't watch an NFL game if the Browns aren't playing, I never watch a random game of teams I don't like. For baseball and hockey, I can watch any teams play, doesn't matter who. And thanks to MLB and NHL networks, I hardly ever watch ESPN anymore, and I don't miss it.

Yep, After the Browns moved, I moved to California. It sucked that all the football games of teams I was used to seeing were on at 10:00 am Sunday Morning (and I was never up then)

So I quit watching football for 3 or so years, then didn't know anybody, and didn't care when the Browns came back and they sucked.

I used to be somewhat of a Basketball fan back in the Price, Nance, Daugherty era, but like Baseball, when I worked in TV for the Cavs and Indians, I saw too much behind the scenes and lost interest.

I don't understand the NFL draft on TV.

Show every pick reacting on the phone to getting picked before the announcement is even made. Why even bother announcing the pick at this point? Just keep showing all the kids with huge grins saying "I'm a millionaire now" or crying tears of joy saying "I'm a millionaire now".

Browns take QB Colt McCoy in the 3rd round.

Reasons why this is a good pick.

1. Great value
2. It's not Clausen or Tebow
3. He won't play right away like Couch did.
4. Our offensive line is pretty good.
5. This kid played for 4 full years and is a winner.

totally agree. It kind of ruins the surprise.

Also do we really need reporters camping out at the player's houses ???

Agree 1000%. I was going to be OK if they traded back into the 2nd to get him but that is a super value pick.

i can't believe McCoy lasted to the third...the Packers didn't really need a future, possible, franchise QB or else I'd have been begging them to take him in the 2nd....a lot of bad GMs let a good QB go...

Really like the place that they got him, and while he's not going to be be expected to step in and play right away, I wonder why he fell so far?

I can't help but think this isn't all just cause he's doesn't have prototypical NFL QB size. Maybe other teams couldn't justify taking a qb that high that people wouldn't expect them to start immediately?

I'll say this was a steal if he eventually can lead them to a playoff win...

He went to probably the perfect situation for him, not having to rush him at all...

Low Risk for Cleveland at this point.

Erin Andrews waiting for Jimmy Clausen in Palm Springs wasn't so bad....

I can say that that's almost motivation enough for me to consider trying (once again) to watch pro football. I really like McCoy.

...of course, I'll probably make it about two weeks before hearing about the latest Cincinnati Jailbirds primadonna ****up, or accidentally listen to an interview of a wide receiver (ANY wide receiver), and give it up in disgust yet again. But, hey, who knows.

Probably the case...

Look, Tebow can spout all he wants that he "played a system he was asked to play" But he was recruited specifically for this system in College.

Alex Smith played this system too and is just starting to find the lightswitch despite being the number one overall pick a few seasons ago.

People worry about Brady Quinn perhaps not getting a fair shake in Denver too, Tebow is a project, probably three seasons away from contriubting regularly as a Quarterback, He was drafted because he will be a team leader and vocal guy in the lockerroom and he will do what it takes to get on the field... People want to talk about the risk involved, but Denver Drafted the best available Football Player on the board, even if he doesn't produce at QB, he will still be a great lockerroom guy.

Just a guess, but you want Jody Shelley back in union blue, don't you?
