i had to look up where he went to school, yesterday he wore all blue, today all orange...I was hoping he was a Gator so I could root for him...

on a side note, I really like listening to Jack on commentary...truely a class person...

I can't stand Italy, or France for that matter

Nederlands are a big rival but they are fun to watch. It's kind of like the Blackhawks... they're in the Jackets division, but I don't hate them like I do say... all the other teams in the Central

I don't get that freakish phenomenon, but I do experience it myself. It's like I just can't bring myself to care about 'em aside from the usual "yeah, division, rar, hate, uhhuh, whatever."

Maybe it's because nearly every time I watch we keep beating 'em.

P.S. What movie does that song play a big part in? Has to be '80s or early '90s. Thought it was Top Gun, but that appears to be incorrect.

Kinda bummed with the Jays first pick tonight. I really wanted the kid the As took right before Toronto picked. We need OFs.

It was included on the soundtracks for Rock Star (Mark Wahlberg) and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle

Could English WAGs be that squad's undoing (again)?

I hope so

Good question. I get CBC and they're going nuts over the World Cup this time, so I know it will be on there. I'm sure you can also stream online too. Maybe not "legally" but you know...

EDIT: I just checked my listings. Both games on Saturday will be live on CBC. The early game will also be on ESPN, and the US game in the afternoon should be on ABC

EDIT II: Yeah, what Happy Pony said

I'll be glad with a draw against the English, but even that will be tough.

Looks like Nebraska joining the Big Ten is all but a done deal. Announcement could be as soon as tomorrow.

Reports that Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Colorado are going to be courted by the Pac-10.

I'm thinking that the Big Ten saw the fact that if they wanted Texas, they would've had to have taken the other two Texas Schools too and decided against it. They would've been pigeonholed to look west for all their expansion vs. the East Coast which is were Delany has wanted to go all along, I see better oppurtunities out west, but if the Big Ten wants ND, they have to poach some along the East to try to bring up the Big East a bit.

I like Nebraska going to the Big Ten, with The Big 12 apparently breaking up anyways, why not try and poach Missouri, Kansas (although they would probably have to bring Kansas St along with them) and Maybe Iowa State, then look to teams like Pitt and if necessary, Rutgers and of course I'd like to see ND in the Big Ten...

Why I am not a big baseball fan:

The Post speculates that the Mariners have been scouting the Yankees for future potential deal to send Cliff Lee to the Bronx.

Seriously?

Why I am:

The Yanks, despite spending more money than God has in his IRA, have won ONE series title in the past decade - same as the Marlins and Diamondbacks! Only the Red Sox have repeat winners in the same timeframe, and they hadn't won for years and years before (also despite spending tons of moola!).
