Redden and Kotalik need to keep sitting

The worst thing Torts can do now is put those guys back in the lineup after a 5-2 win with them not dressed.

This lineup deserves a second game as is.

Clearly we need to keep sitting one of our best d-men.

Clearly.

Great post.

Keep Kotalik's ass off the ice.

Redden deserves to play.

Agreed, I think we really missed Redden tonight with the Islanders just peppering Henrik for most of the game..as for Alice, I'd keep sitting him indefinitely

Exactly. Redden was sorely missed because our defense looked like absolute ****. Everything was getting through.

The OP has an extreme bias against Redden, don't let him fool you.

jeebus its one game. Redden and Kotalik should get back in. Voros played for god sakes

go back to Kotalik on the pt on the 2nd PP unit and 4th line. His shot can help. Mind you if they can move him do it to get the salary off the books

The PP looked better without Kotalik. They weren't giving up many short handed odd man rushes or breakaways.

I found them great tonight.

Joke aside, I also think Redden shouldn't be kept out of the line up for a long time. For Kotalik that's another story.

It's not extreme bias. It's thats he's a soft average player with no heart that doesn't do anything above average.

It's extreme disrespect.

I think Redden learned his lesson. He is obviously much better than heikkenen. I thought Staal, Girardi and Rosie all played great toniught to offset the three rookies being pretty sloppy.

However, Kotalik is obviously redundant. I would keep sitting him until he gets with the program. The PP doesn't live and die by him and I think Lisin is more noticeable on the ice.

Again, I think the team is better with Redden in the lineup and Torts knows it. But Redden played a terrible game the other night and deserved to made an example of. I think he'll be back in.

I said "one of", Scipio. Since his injury, both Girardi and Staal have been better. I'd actually rather see Redden sit until he's fully healthy, since I don't think he's 100% yet.

Though it's clear that he's needed, I think we can let him rest another game or two still.

The simple fact that you can't give the man credit for playing well is pretty sad. People who know and watch hockey can see that he's been very good most of the year.

I already know you don't fit into either category, though.

Yeah, it's cool. We all miss a word sometimes, lol.

Either way, I think he should rest a bit more till he's 100%. While we miss him, if Henrik can stand on his head another game or two, the rest would only help.

We should just be more supportive of what torts wants to do, I think he's earned that.

Redden will be probably be back in place of Sangs, he got the least ice time tonight. Rozy was solid tonight and this was Heikkinen's best game by far.

Kotalik shouldn't return anytime soon. The PP can function perfectly fine without him, 3 PP goals tonight. Awful signing, players like Gaborik and DZ have had a much bigger part in turning our PP around than Kotalik.

I know and watch hockey. I'm supposed to give the guy a medal for being average? He's been average and nothing more.

It was the wort personnel decision in the history of the team to bring him here and I refuse to pat a guy on the back for 'not being that bad'. He still doesn't hit anyone.

And John Tortorella knows and watches hockey way more than you. And he sat Redden's ass.

Why the hate for Heikkinen? He's no star, but he's been all right. He looks like he can be an NHL player.

Yeah, I don't mind him. He's a bottom pairing type, but he's certainly not terrible or anything.

So what do we know about this Redden-Tortorella confrontation when Torts scratched him?

Agreed. I wouldn't be opposed to keeping the line-up the same for the next game. Reward the roster for winning a damn game. And a little consistency between lines and pairings would be nice for a change.

Redden hasn't been terrible, but he hasn't lit up the joint either. I want him angry and hungry when he comes back.
