simmonds is back...noooo way. this is awesome. i can't believe he is going to play on saturday...i thought 6 to 8 weeks. minus harrold on any of the lines at practice today would equal an awesome lineup

Parse has to be playing...right?

Manchester is done until after Christmas also, would make sense to call him up now.

That is still a 4th line that is going to be mismatched every game we play.

I agree. I liked the chemistry that Brown and Richie were developing, I hope we get to see more of them paired together.

That said, the 4th line is still atrocious, but hopefully it will change if some call ups are made. Something like Parse - Elkins - Segal.

pfft. Don't turn into a Johnny Utah I didn't even notice the 4th line, our top 9 is just so good and orderly at the moment that we could have a line of triple Ivanans on the fourth and I could care less. I just hope that Kopitar rebounds with Smyth back in the lineup. If he regresses to his old form, it could be a major dent to us in the near future.

Hate to see parse not on that line with simmers they had really good chemistry and he was always moving his feet. Purcell should be the one in Manchester IMO.

Listening to Terry Murray's audio from today, it sounds like Parse is going to stay in Manchester when the break is over.

Kid is a player but he was not very good the last 3 games when asked to play more of a grinding role on the 4th line.

Lombardi is going to ride Purcell until he is either worthless or actually starts to get it. He really wants to be right about him.

I'm really loving the lines when Stoll comes back although I wanted to see this:

94/11/14
24/28/23
63/26/17
41/15/54

I thought that was ideal as Richardson and Purcell would still play on the PK and PP respectively.

What this team sees in Harrold, Ivanans and Purcell I will never know.

Harrold and Ivanans in their 4th seasons.
Purcell in his 3rd.

I am very disappointed to hear Parse is staying in the minors while these slugs will be playing up here.

i would love to see a kings lineup w/o purcell ivanans and harrold

here's my pipedream current lineup

smyth / kopitar / williams
frolov / stoll / brown
parse / richardson / simmonds
moller / handzus / segal

each line w/ a little bit of size, skill, speed, and grit. I like richardson's game lately and moving handzus down gives tm the option to roll 4 . But yea.. it won't happen.

Technically, Purcell has just finished playing one full season of NHL hockey.

Looks good after the past couple of weeks but man that lineup looks better with Stoll and Parse back in it at the expense of Purcell and Harrold. Want to see more of Segal, not to mention Elkins. Ivanans only when necessary.

Once again, I need to correct you. Yes Dan Patrick used to say it, but he stole it from Chris Berman! Geez!

Hey, off my case, toilet face!

Besides, I'm not big on Berman and his inflated ego. Entertaining, yes but I need more from a lead anchor if you can dig it.

Oscar Moller is back on the ice with the Kings this morning. No sight of Stoll or Jones. Terry Murray switched up the lines a bit, although I’m not totally sure if he’s going for “lines” today, since the fourth line of Ivanans, Purcell and Segal has no center. Otherwise, it’s:

Smyth-Kopitar-Williams
Richardson-Handzus-Brown
Frolov-Moller-Simmonds

Wierd to see someone go from a defenseman to centering a line as Harrold is doing.

Can someone please explain what the love fest TM has with Harrold? I understand the value of having a guy, a defenseman play forward during a game in case of an injury, but having this guy now purely as a forward as a center no less is quite puzzling.

I've come to deal with Ivanans, protection blah blah blah, but what is it about Harrold?

4th line- Ivanans-Elkins-Segal? Purcell & Harrold in the press box?

I like those lines. So, does Moller go back when Stoll is ready to go?

Smyth-Kopitar-Williams
Richardson-Stoll-Brown
Frolov-Handzus-Simmonds
Ivanans-Elkins-Segal

Purcell & Harrold scratched
