Scottie Upshall Question

while yes i was a Upshall supporter i always wondered how he would have played if got significant top 6 minutes. he speedy and gritty and he always meshed well with Carter.

what does everyone else think Upshall would have been capable of doin with top six minutes. 25goals 20assits?? more or less??

He is capable of third line minutes and that is what he got.

This thread was relevent 10 months ago.

Not sure if you're aware, but Upshall's playing for the Coyotes.

But you can ask these guys:

http://hfboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=40

And I'm sure they'd be able to tell you all you want.

What is Prospal never got traded? Could he have gotten 100 points as a Flyer?

I loved Scottie when he was here purely for the fact that he loved Philadelphia and being a Flyer, and I think thats the primary reason why people, and myself included, cling onto him and what he was all about. You can't confuse that with talent though, he is purely a solid 3rd energy guy maaaaybe a 2nd liner on a rebuilding team.

Which explains why he's playing Top 6 minutes on Phoenix.

If he was on this team right now he'd be taking heat just like Hartnell and Briere for taking stupid penalties.

Is this still going on? Come on. New thread: What could Mikael Renberg do playing with Mike Richards?

Flyers need a major overhaul. Upshall is doing fine in Phoenix and would have done well in Philly if he had to get the ice time. It's unfortunate that the Flyers are not living up to their expectations. A lot of tallent. Hopefully they do a lot better in the New Year.

I wonder what would happen if we Lindros got to play with Richards.

Or what if rather than drafting Ricci the Flyers draft Jagr, and kept Forsberg.

I wonder if Eric Lindros would have gotten 1500 points had he played out his career without the concussions.

Scottie Upshall tonight: 2 goals, 1 assist

He would have single handedly beat the Flyers tonight on the score sheet.

You are kicking a dead horse here. I did not like the trade when it went down and still do not like the trade. We got a ahl'er for a 2nd round pick and a decent 2nd or 3ard line winger.

I like Upshall and this season may very well be a statistical anomaly but it is impressive that he's 17th in the league in ES goals with 11 and he should be able to get 20-24 ES goals by the end of the season if he stays healthy. That's not too shabby.

Upshall's trade started Richards crusade against Flyer's management and subsequently their mega slide since.....the Flyers were flyin' when Scotty was here, this team really misses his speed. Get him back.

beers all around
