The Colorado Avalanche are putting John-Michael Liles, Brett Clark, Ruslan Salei, Tom Preissing, Adam Foote, and Marek Svatos up on the trade block. We're not opposed to moving our First Round selection either.

The Avs are looking for a top-6 winger and a young physical shutdown defenseman.

Columbus is looking for a top pairing defenseman, and maybe a #1 center depending on who you're offering. Anyone but Voracek, Mason, and Nash could be traded. If you're asking for Filatov, Hejda, or Brassard be prepared to pay a pretty penny.

Dan Hamhuis could be available.

Asking price is a 1st round pick and a prospect/young player.

Jonathan Blum, Cal O'Reilly, Alexander Sulzer and Teemu Laakso are prospect willing to move in order to get good NHL player(s).

Blum will of course cost the most.

In talks to move Cory Schneider currently. A couple teams interested, PM with an offer if you are. Looking to package F Mikael Samuelsson up with some prospects/picks to acquire a defensive 3rd line C.

No more of the "WHAT IS ON YOUR BLOCK?? LETS MAKE A DEAL" type pms please.

In related news, the Vancouver Canucks waive F Darcy Hordichuk with the intentions to send him to Manitoba.

You may send in trades to BOTH Classic Devil and I. If we do not both get a trade or if neither of us get it, the trade will be vetoed.

Eric Staal is being actively shopped by the 'canes. He is 25 years old, already has a Stanley Cup ring and is signed long-term. The price is steep but if you are interested send an offer my way.

Other players on the trading block include Ray Whitney and Joe Corvo.

Avs Make Pre-Emptive Trade

The Colorado Avalanche have made a splash as GM cooperative known CMA decided to take a huge risk and acquire a young up and coming player that they've been looking at for a while. Michael Frolik (10th Overall pick from 2006) and Gregory Campbell of the Florida Panthers have been acquired for the Avalanche at a price, with the Avalanche giving up their first two selections in the 2010 draft, Marek Svatos as well as prospect forward Ryan Stoa.

The Trade:

COL:
1st 2010
2nd 2010
Ryan Stoa
Marek Svatos

FLA:
Michael Frolik
Gregory Campbell

Though it is a heavy price the Avalanche management is quite ecstatic that they were able to acquire these two players. While the Avalanche have quite a few 3rd-4th line forward prospects, they did not have anyone of Frolik's high skill and offensive ceiling. Avalanche management also believe that having Hejduk already on the team will make Frolik that much more comfortable, as well as providing a great mentor.

The Avalanche also saw what Campbell could bring with his play last year, and believe that a change in scenery would give him a chance to turn it around.

The Roster:
Wolski - Stastny - Stewart
Frolik - Duchene - Hejduk
Galiardi - O'Reilly - McLeod
Tucker - Hendricks - Campbell

Hannan - Quincey
Wilson - Liles
Cumiskey - Foote

Anderson
Budaj

Marleau-Pavelski- Clowe
McGin-Mitchell-Malhotra
Ortmeyer-Nichol-Shelly

Boyle-Vlasic
Murray-Volchenkov

Minnesota Wild

The Wild feel we are not a playoff team this year and therefor we plan to be sellers at the deadline and actually have a lot of quality players to offer

Trade Block
Nolan, Sykora, Bouchard, Miettinen, Ebbett, Harding, Johnsson, Schultz, Sheppard, Boogard, Brodziak, Latendress

Maybe: Kobasew, Brunette

We plan to build our team from the back out so we are looking to acquire a true # 1 shutdown defensmen or at least a defensive prospect. We are also looking for a young top 6 foward and 1 or 2 elite foward prospects
