Snog

The team should be reasonably well rested and back up to game speed after the long layoff. TMac didn't over skate anyone in Dallas, so I don't think the second of back-to-backs will be that big of a deal.

The Sharks shouldn't get drawn into a track meet and exchange chances. Success will depend on solid team zone coverage in the middle of the ice, limiting high turnovers and the Hawks transition game, keeping shots to the outside and away from the slot, and most important - winning races to the puck.

The last game, we were always a step slower than the Hawks in puck retrieval. You can't posses what you can't catch so thats a major key to being successful. If its another high-scoring game, the odds are in Chicago's favor. I am hoping for more of a successful road game grinding game where our 3rd and 4th lines see more ice time, and our PP and PK makes the difference.

SNOG:
Sharks 5-3

Marleau, Demers, Heatley, Boyle, Malhotra (en)

Time for some retribution in Chi-town!

SNOG: Sharks win 3-2 (Heater, Seto and Blake)

And in keeping with the holiday spirit of the thread...

(Thanks to my friend Viola for the Holiday Nabster!)

Scratch this plan. Just got an email back from the guy in charge of Stanley's drinks and what not and he said the game isn't showing in Fremont, only SJ. I might make it by initial puck drop.

The plan:

- Off work at 1 AM
- Watch the DVR'ed Sharks/Blackhawks game
- Pack/clean the filthy house my roommates left me.
- Take bus to Greyhound station at 6 AM
- Leave on Greyhound at 7AM
- BACK IN THE YAY AT 3PM YANADIDAMEAN
- Christmas!
- Sharks/Ducks on the 26th!

This game is the first link in a long chain of awesome events. Let's hope they win it and kick off my winter break right!

I agree. We're on the road, so lets see things get choppy in there house. I'm not exactly interested in seeing them try to go skate with the Hawks.

All i want is for Todd to put Heatley back on the top line and Marleau down one.

We wont be able to afford Marleau at this pace... (unless he pulls a Savard/Thornton)

We seem to have learned how to play defense the last few games, at least adequately. I think we'll love, but I'm going to snog for the Sharks anyway! (does that mean i'm betting against myself?)

Sharks 5-3

Heatley x 2, Seto x1, Marleau x1, Boyle x1

Toews 1, Kane 1, hossa 1

If that game last night vs Dallas was adequate defense, we're out in the 1st round again. Seriously, Nabby stole one for us IMO.

Just wanted to stop by and say good luck

Hawks and Sharks both seem to be playing well at the moment. I expect a close one tonight

Compared to what we were attempting to pass off as defense before? Maybe we moved up from god awful sh*ty to less than good.

The Sharks need to go to the body big time against the Hawks. Bang the forwards and pressure the "D" men in their own zone. Don't let hawks have all that room like they did the last time they played.
