I've gone with J-Bo all along, and he's done nothing to disprove my choice, only re-enforce it.

Is he better offensively or defensively?

Pitkanen put up 27 points in 71 games(rookie season)
J-Bo put up 20 points in 61 games sophmore season

Pitkanen seams to be better offensively averaging more points per game than Bouwmeester. Pitkanen is also a great PP QB

Whitney. I'm a homer and I think he's got a ton of potential.

That's about the most homerish vote I've seen in a poll in a long time.

I take Pitkanen slightly over Bouwmeester, with Whitney way behind.

I say Pitkanen, he's better in offense IMO.

Wait until Whitney had played in the NHL a few years. He will be on a higher level. He hasn't been hyped because his team is no good. His skills are. Offensively, he rivals Pitkanen. I say his passing ability is second to no prospects. Defensively, they both blow him out of the water right now, but he will have time to learn.

The defensive side is where the homer vote comes in. But write this down, and call me out on it.

As a side note, Whitney really shouldn't be in this poll. This is like comparing Kovalchuk and Nash with Ovechkin and Crosby. Whitney's still yet to play an NHL game, while Pitkanen and JBo have had time to establish themselves a little bit.

You are correct but it's more like comparing Kovalchuk and Nash with Eric Nystrom or Jeff Tambellini.

Whitney is nowhere close to Ovechkin and Crosby potential.

Well, I was using the comparison to compare non NHL prospect and NHL young playes, that's all.

In a few years, Whitney will be one of the top young defensemen in the league.
