Fixing the Flames-Tampa,Habs,Philly,Canes

They need some offense...

To Flames: Alex Tanguay and Jeff Halpern
To Tampa: 3rd Round pick, Prust, Pelech

To Flames:Halak
To Montreal: McElhinney, 2nd and Chucko

To Flames: Jeff Carter
To Philly:1st 2011, 2nd 2011, Sarich, Backlund and Boyd
or
To Flames:Whitney
To Canes:Boyd and 2nd 2011

Tanguay-Jokinen-Iginla
Carter/Whitney-Langkow-Bourque
Glencross-Halpern-Dawes
Nystrom-Conroy-Sjostrom/Moss

Phaneuf-Giordano
Regehr-Pardy
Bouwmeester-Johnson

Kipper
Halak

Any of these trades will help... Most of them can be done (not asking or hoping for all) but Carter is more of a pipedream.

the asking price seems to be a second round from reports (sportsnet)

The asking price was a top-6 forward (Gainey). lol

Not saying he will ever come close to getting it but lets have some semblance of correctness in here.

McElhinney is total garbage, not even nhl quality. Nah I would much rather add something for Bourque.

Again though how does a 2nd round pick (from the Flames) help the Habs? It doesn't. It makes us worse. Halak has faced 90+ shots in the past two games and stole both. Much rather have him in the lineup (and at a salary of 700K) than a 2nd round pick and Chucko-Cheese.

Do you really think you are going to get Bourque for a RFA who wants to be traded???

It might not help the habs in a big way but I was going with what I heard with media so that's why I made the package.. I guess the Flames can go after another back-up goalie.

You heard wrong. Your trade thread is brutal. End of story. Close and lock.

I did say "add something" learn to read.

Also Halak wants to be a #1 so putting him behind Kipper who gets played to death is an automatic non starter. He will get like 10 games a year, you think Halak would rather that? You need to realize that trade doesn't help anyone involved, including the player who wants to play more.

Well, he has roughly the same size as Andrei Kostitsyn and more production this year than Kostitsyn jr, D'Agostini and Pouliot combined. Also hes young RFA just like Halak.

If you think you have better ideas concerning Flames, go ahead, and let them knock you out.

Andrei out-weighs him by 30lbs! Pouliot has been injured all season - he hasn't even played a game for the Habs. Sergei and D'Ags are not full-time players for the Habs. They are filling in for injured Habs (Gionta etc.).

How about Halak for Rene Bourque??? How does it feel to get hosed?

Seriously though, Halak would not be happy at all in Calgary. He wants to be the #1 guy and deserves to be. In Calgary he would be buried behind Kipper.

Sorry.. Totally forgot I was making a proposal with Montreal whose fans seem to overvalue their back-up to a friggen top 6 forward.

Care to explain Tampa and Philly or are you just going to act like a ******.. I don't mind you criticizing my proposal but let's give reasons instead of acting like a 5 year old child.

There are so many things wrong with this thread that i don't know where to start. Try having a think about what other teams needs are then work out equivalent values.

In all of your trades you basically hosed the other team value wise and didn't give any thought as to what they might need. In fact you gave no thought as to what Halak wants. His worst fear would be getting traded to the Flames or NJD or NYR...

Montreal fans never claimed to want a top-6 forward. Gainey claims he wants a top-6 forward. But Habs fans all agree that a pick in return for Halak does nothing for us especially when Halak is singlehandedly stealing games for us. I'd rather have halak in the lineup than a 2nd round pick and some dude named Chucky.

He wants to be #1 because he and everyone in the league knows he's capable of being a #1 goaltender for a team needing goaltending.
