He appeared to have jammed his wrist on a play and he went to the bench but he came out for all of his regular shifts. The other talk was from the Comcast post game when a commentator mentioned Carter's good work ethic and how he played hurt. I didn't remember an ear injury that was referenced.
Tim P. was on WIP moments ago. He talked a range of subjects including that. When the subject of Emery's return arose, he said (not verbatim) "I don't know. We don't see him and haven't been updated at all. No info is being released..."

“We wanted to go into Christmas with a win under our belt, and feeling a little better about ourselves,” Chris Pronger said. “And it was a step in the right direction. It wasn’t a giant step, with the lackluster second period. But a win nonetheless, and we’ll take it.”
The Flyers hit the ice with that elusive “jump” that coach Peter Laviolette has mentioned again and again. Considering they were playing a struggling Tampa Bay team and were rejoined by center Darroll Powe – back after missing more than a month – they should have.
“It’s a minor step,” Laviolette said of the win. “But it’s a step, and we need that, and it’s really important. The guys worked for it tonight, especially in the third period.”
That whole situation was secretive. Seems like Emery tried to play through injury when he shouldn't have.
That doesn't surprise me to hear that. He went from being pretty good to horrible in a very short period of time, so trying to play through an injury makes sense. It's shortsighted and was a really stupid thing to do.
I am concerned that there has been no news about his recovery though.
What's bad is now, both Emery and Boucher are out.
Boucher shouldn't be out, as long. However it is a scary thing to see Leighton starting and a guy who has never started a game in the NHL. That doesn't sound too good to me.
I'm sure that if it was the playoffs Boosh wouldn't have missed any time. They probably just don't want to go through the hassle of restitching the finger between periods if it gets busted open again and again.
