Daniel Alfredsson

Might as well start one of these up, so apparently its a left shoulder injury, but im not sure I buy it. If alfie is out for any extended period of time then were in trouble.

By the way he skated right off, it doesn't look good. Dislocated or separated shoulder would be my guess.

Not great news for Alfredsson. Had shoulder in a sling and said "I don't know exactly how long, but it will be a few weeks for sure.".

I don't see how this team can deal with having both Spezza and Alfie out. Call me what you will, but I have a bad feeling this team will crumble without the captain in the lineup.

that's the top 2/3 of our top line. It will surely be a struggle. Tough year for injuries, it seems like everybody's been out at one time or another.
We weren't really a pwerhouse before all the injuries, but the boys will just have to knuckle down and do what they can.

From NHL.com:

The game couldn't have gone worse for the Senators, who are expected to be without captain Daniel Alfredsson for at least a few weeks after he left late in the first period with a left shoulder injury.

Quote:
"I'll probably see the doctor (Thursday) and do an X-ray and see what the damage is," said Alfredsson, whose arm was in a sling. "But I expect at least a few weeks."

We were having a pretty good season, which meant that injuries were bound to happen.

How many injuries did we have last year?

We're ****ed. We could last without Spezza, but Alfie is the straw that stirs this drink. I'll see all of you in what is sure to be an abundance of trade deadline threads. Playoff hope was fun while it lasted.

Is this the best you could come up with? And I still believe we can make the playoffs, Kovalev will surely step it up. Michalek will play better, Cheechoo will find himself. Kovalev could be given the newest letter with Alfie gone
