Nick Foligno

Is it just me, or has he shown a whole new level of skill since Spezza and Alfredsson went down? He almost scored from his knee's, that spinorama move in the 3rd and set up Donovan on that sick backwards feed. Ridiculous.

His skating has improved as well, the kid has a really bright future

Personally, I'd say it's just you. His best hockey of this season was played during the 4 or 5 games before he got injured against Toronto. He was playing possesed. I don't really think he was deserving of compliment after the previous 5 games, but I'm definitely glad he's back.

Foligno has looked good since he got benched. Got injured shortly after, but has come back flying. Loving his game right now, and if he can work on his finish he'll be dominant.

Not sure if the extra drive in his game this year is from developing, or it being a contract year, but he's fun to watch either way.

He's had some sort of new crazy deke-a-roo type thing the past four or five games. Hopefully he nails in the net sometime soon.

He has amazing moves.

As shown against Detroit and Boston last year, and Philly this year (only ones from memory)

If he can be more consistent, maybe we can get 60 points out of him in his prime (maybe more?)

He's always been able to do random crazy things, as evidenced by some of his goals the last few years.

If anything, he over-handles the puck a lot and tries to go through defensemen way too often. I hope he changes that about his game, because I don't think he's talented enough to continue it. I still don't see a ton of offensive potential in him, but I hope he can prove me wrong.

I think he can reach 50-70 points in his prime.

Yup.

I think he has plans to continue to develop into a more reliable offensive player. Foligno obviously wants to be a legitimate top 6 player. Good for him, whether it happens or not is a different story but Ive always thought he was a good characterand I hope he continues to progress all around.

Although he's not putting up great points, he most certainly has shown an intriguing tool set. Im very curious to see what hes like in his prime, Im thinking Mike Fisher with less of a shot but better with the puck.

Lol at that ****** Pierre Mcguire on the team 1200 the other day saying how unimpressed with Foligno he is. Theres problems with this team, but Nick isnt really part of it. Players like him take time to develop, and anyone who actually watches him can see he definitely has some upside.

I really can't wait what Foligno turns out to be later on! Such a bright future, hopefully with Ottawa.

I'm hoping if he can start finishing more he can be as dominant as Franzen in front of the net.

He's not so much dominant along the net but he's pure domination along the boards. He's got great balance and can even keep the puck away from defenseman while he's on the ground.

The shift he had with Fisher when it was 4 on 4, (Avery and Ruutu were in the box) was great

Yeah he is great!

Has anyone noticed when he is skating really fast he looks kinda different from everyone else? Like his legs are bent more or something?

as some of you have mentioned he tends to have brain cramps when he crosses the offensive blue line and over handles the puck.

If he can just shoot or whatever he could probably score more goals.

I'd like to see a little more toughness out of him. I thought was one reason he was brought in - because mucks felt he embodied that with offencive upside. I do think he could put up 50 pts but probably only in contract seasons or in the playoffs.
