Patrice Bergeron vs Mike Fisher

Two guys fighting for a spot on Team Canada

Both play center, and i would say both are sound defensively

Who is the better player? all-time (-your vote should not change if you were to re-vote 3 years later)
Patrice Bergeron or Mike Fisher

Fisher is better, but I wouldn't take either on Team Canada.

Man, why are your threads so confusing? You're talking about Team Canada and then asking who's better all-time. You can't expect people to read all of the text.

Voted Fisher because was thinking about the Olympics. Would vote Bergeron because Fisher could never put up the same amount of points.

All-time? Bergeron.

For Team Canada this year, I wouldn't take either of them.

Bergeron on a 4th line, right handed centre, faceoff specalist, could be used with Crosby on same occasion, they showed crazy chemistry together for Canada.

But I don't think either will make the team. If I need to choose one of them, it would be Bergeron.

Fisher isn't very gifted offensively, hands of stone.

Bergeron-Cleary?

What the heck?

not sure if either make team Canada - love both guys - I think Bergy has a bit of a slight edge.

Although I think neither of them is going to make the team,Bergeron is clearly the better player to this point. With that said,I believe Fisher might be the better fit due to the fact he would be a nightmare to play against with his gritty physical play

35GP - 15G - 14A - 29P

15 goals and 29 points in 35 games. Yes, hands of stone.

Fisher doesn't have good hands. That's not how he gets goals. He has grit, determination, and a wicked hard shot.

I wouldn't say he has hands of stone. I've seen him wire shots pass the goalie or deke around the D and score.
