The ref probably didn't meet his Crosby-penalty quota

Torts talking about putting some pressure off Dru. Strip the captaincy already.

If you dont make an attempt to get out of the way of the goalie, regardless of where he is, you can get a penalty

Watch the replay. Avery doesn't have nearly enough time to react to Rolosons' move. It looks like Roloson is the one initiating contact if anything.

Why the hell would he else move away from his net, right into traffic right after the save? It's obvious Roloson is doing his best to mess with the Ranger players, he had a scrum with Dubinsky in the middle of the play.

Only if the goalie is in the act of playing the puck, which he was not.

agreed.

I definitely stress the word can. However, with Avery's well earned reputation, the fact that it was him, almost guarantees a penalty.

Rosi should be cut before the end of the game. Scratch that, before his next shift.

Almost halfway in and not one single decent scoring chance yet.

Definitely losing this game?
They look like crap but at the same time, they get one bounce and it's a tie.
2-0 in the 3rd and they won't win.

That we haven't had one single PP out of all this yet is just weird. What the hell... it's not like the Islanders have been trying to play it cleanly to remain out of the box.

That hit on Staal for example is a textbook boarding/ checking from behind. Take your pick.
