It's pretty sickening to see people cheer against their own country.
I realize that people don't appreciate the things Della Rovere and Cormier did in the exhibition, but atleast give them a chance in the main games. What about all the other kids fighting for a medal for their country yet there are people who just don't feel like supporting them...

Della Rovere has continued his same play from last year. He's been good in the OHL this year but is completely different on the big stage.

Ya I find that ridiculous as well. I'm perplexed as to why you would root against your own country. I don't know if a few posters think they're "rebelious" by going against their own country because they feel they've won it enough recently, but anyways....
People are making absurd predictions. In 2007, Canada won against Germany by the score of 2-1. Again, in 2008, Canada had one goal game against one of the lower nations.
I think last year kind of spoiled us with 8-1 win over Czechs, 15-0 over Kazakh, 5-0 over Germany and 7-4 over US.
Cormier might be a little dirty but he's a heck of a hockey player. He's money on faceoffs, he hits like a truck and has the best 2 way game among team Canada's forwards.
You can have skills and a little fiestyness to your game, that's what Canadian hockey is all about IMO. Mark Messier had that "dirty" aspect to his game and yet, people loved him. I'm not saying that Cormier = Messier but if all you bring to the table is "cheepshots", I fully agree with those of you saying he doesn't deserve to wear team Canada's jersey but that's not the case regarding Cormier, Della Rovere's on the other hand...
Does the game start at 3:30, or is that just the pregame? NHLN has it starting at 4PM EST for me. Hope it's not on a delay or something just so they can show Winter Classic reruns.
