Payback.

Pelle trickles a slow one through Neuvy.

Ugh.

End of 1:

Caps offense flying+
Caps defense playing sloppy and passive+
inconsistent goaltending=

1 goal lead.

Resch says its borderline call at best, but the Devils will take it. Here the gallow for the guy.

It's not the penalty, although that doesn't help. He's just not a very bright defenseman. Having lost being Green's safety valve at even-strength I'm not sure where he really fits in anymore (when they're more or less healthy).

The one I really don't understand is Eric Staal. That's a world-class player, entering his prime.

Sad to say I'd rather have Schultz and Erskine than SMo. I feel dirty now.

A guy can lose focus. Being love life or something else off the ice or just a little complacant. Face it, if he took his eye off the ball at the start of the season, his team was in a death spin before he could get his head into it.

Could it be that he partied with his cup winning bro a little too much this off season rather than be inspired by him to work harder?

From what I know of Thunder Bay I'm surprised he's not dead from alcohol poisoning after that.

Should be a clear high stick call, I think. Can't think the overturn is coming.

Per Tarik, GMGM said Semin has agreed to a one-year extension. The board shifts.

Way to blow the golden odd-man chance. Dumb.

I'm guessing it's got to be a somewhat reasonable one-year figure for the Caps if it's done.
