Give Purcell a true shot on this line for a stretch of games, don't be too quick to push a panic button, and emphasize lineup stability, the Kings will probably make the best possible showing in the near future with such a strategy.
^^
This. If he can't make a go of it after being on this line, I would say he will be as good as gone before/at the trade deadline.

I totally agree. This is Teddy's last chance. It's time to put up some numbers like he did in the AHL or it bye bye time.

You're obviously unaware of the positions that they play.
I don't think anyone has ever suggested that Frolov play RW.

I'm sure glad I never bumped my "Will Williams outscore Patty O next year?" thread. Although, at this point Williams still may which is sad for both parties.

It was the ankle as I feared...
Quote:
“Kings forward Justin Williams today underwent successful ankle surgery. The expected recovery time is 12 weeks. The surgical procedure was performed by Dr. Ken Jung of Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic.”
3 months seems like a best case scenario.

Hopefully we'll get Willy back sometime in March, ready and rearing to go for that final playoff push plus the postseason.
Not a horrible scenario. We have plenty of good RWs to cycle through that number one line to see who works best.

Whitney would be a good acquisition. And my guess is he'll be willing to sign an extension with the kings as well.

I tore all my ankle ligaments playing football in high school, it was nasty. My injury was so bad that I sprained my knee at the same time because of how I got hurt. I had surgery where screws were attached to my bone to keep the ligaments in place. I was in a cast for 3 months and then a walking cast for another 3. One ligament is nothing. You usually tear a ligament everytime you sprain your ankle. They're pretty resilient.

Sorry this flu bug has really kicked my butt. I was sarcastically saying to re-trade an injured Williams. Ya know like how we got him.
Just being crazy, but I think you knew that.
Happy New Year, Brian.
