He does have some good players on there. The more I watch Jordan Staal the more I want him killing penalties for team Canada. He's one of the best in the league. Robidas is a great choice....very quiet but great with great stats away from the goal assists and points. Fisher has put himself in position to earn a spot.
yeah Robidas is a shocker for a Cherry olympic squad, thats for sure.
put the guys stats don't lie.
personally, i'd want one of robidas or boyle and boyle is the easy choice there.
Solid team, but I think picking Fisher (like Zamuner in 1998) is a waste of a spot. Mike Richards can play wing and is just as good, if not better as a defensive forward.
Also, Scott Niedermayer has looked as good defensively as Paul Coffey in 1996 (we all know how great HE was in the 1996 WC). Green and Boyle are enough to lead the puck up the ice and Weber is great at both ends. I might lean towards Duncan Keith, but I know Nieds gets the sympathy vote.

I'm kind of warming up to the idea of having Fisher on the team. Zamuner or Draper aren't good comparisons for him because they don't have much of an offensive game where as Fisher does.
Nothing wrong with the team he chose and IMO it would be the favourites to win gold. Most people agree with about 15 players as shoo-ins, and then there are about 15-20 quality candidates for the final 6 or 7 spots. Really depends on personal preference at that point.
