HockeyBuzz's Matt Karash?

Very off topic, but I am curious to know what happened to this guy? For those of you who read Matt's blogs after the 'Canes games, it seems he's just vanished. To me this is the only bright side for Hurricanes hockey talk at HockeyBuzz and I've not seen a new blog in almost a month. What happened?

Maybe Eklund wrote him a check that bounced.

Eklund posted this to his twitter account today. Matt must have stopped doing it or something. Since we didn't get a goodbye this is my last story about the Canes post I'm guessing something serious came up or he was removed?

dude was never around like the others teams guys. he would always say he's about to write something about something, and then not write it for 4 days, or say this part 1 of a 3 part talk and take three weeks to write it if he did at all. never saw anything insightful when he did write.

one of us could do it better.

Perhaps. The witty commenters at HockeyBuzz can be vicious.

whats more interesting is that within the comments section the Kings Blogger said he had been told that Whitney was asked and willing to waive his NTC to LA if a deal can be worked out. Which brings us back to the question that has been discussed 1 million times...what would we get back from the Kings? I could see a Olli Jokinen type deal involving players and picks....Whitney and a 3rd rounder for Voinov and a 1st. I really think JR is looking for young NHL ready dmen and picks....not forward depth

la has always made sense. i would think since teubert was a guy we considered taking over boychuk, correct me if im wrong there, then he would be a logical target. maybe hickey, id be surprised if we went for the russian. while i agree we need d depth first i think we'll take whatever we get that we like, so i would think their 1st or moller is a possiblilty. whitney would be a good fit for them, they could use him on the pp.

I probably threw Voinov in over Teubert or Hickey because i prefer him...... but i do seem to remember the Canes draft day Teubert love as well.

Or maybe Teddy Purcell.

We can give Staal for Dubinsky and Callahan then.. and you have the best and most fearless first line in hockey history

Callahan- Dubinsky- Purcell.

Trevor Lewis is itneresting prospect .

Williams?

LA makes sense, he's a really good friend of Hedican. Remember how he popped up in a bunch of those dancing with the stars photos?

Justin Williams could play a key role as "recruiter" for Whitney to waive his NTC and Gleason has mostly favorable things to say about his time in LA. Hedican would be less of a factor though since he is in Northern California.

Yes, he played there but is in the Bay Area doing some TV work for the Sharks.
