He didn't almost die and Steve Moore has been a giant ***** since then. He actually got cleared to play again and I believe the Ducks offered him a try out but he turned it down because he wanted more money. So instead, he tries to sue Bertuzzi, Murray, Crawford and the Canucks.

I'm glad that useless sack of **** is out of the league.

the attack was disgusting and since when is a player supposed to fight someone when they're not a fighter?

compare these hits and watch the videos

The fact that he's 60 now would just make it all the better.

Someone on here also said that Connolly was a jerk.

I also think that he's extremely overrated.

When you injured the other team's best player and the other team's guys challenge you to a fight, you should stand up and fight. Moore's hit on Naslund wasn't clean and the whole thing could have been avoided if he had fought May.

You can't just let the other team injure your star players and not even do anything about it. I'm not saying Bertuzzi was right in going after Moore, but someone should have fought Moore.

For the record, I love to watch A.O play, and I think he is indisputably the best player in the world at present.

BUT, I would love to see someone clean his clock after one of his borderline hits, charges, boardings, knee on knee's... whatever.
A one punch KO would be OK even if/when he doesn't answer the bell. Just want to see a player succeed in distributing some street-law on him. Just once.

Beyond that... its always good to see the genuinely dirty players have it. Kaleta for instance. Would be sweet to someone like Lucic rag-doll and then drop him.

I came here to post excactly that name. But not now, he is an old man. But back in the days, man, someone should have clobbered him badly. Clarke was out to injure players.

Milan Lucic deserves the beating of his life. He should be so beaten to remain a lifeless husk afterwards.

And I don't want a tough guy to do this. I want a skilled guy to do it. A guy nobody would even think could do that so everybody can laugh at him.

Actually the 60 year old part was tongue in cheek, but back in the day, seeing him pasted would have been sweet.

One thing I didn't like about 70's hockey was that there was no "third man in" rule. If you think players these days are cheap and disrespectful, you should have seen guys like Clark and Ed Van Impe play. They could get away with anything because if anyone tried to go after them, they would instantly have (literally) the whole Flyers team jumping on their back.

..I'ont wanna turn this into another one of these threads, but...

He already did fight genius.

First off, this was 3 weeks later...

Secondly..what's this???? He already fought during that game.

3 weeks later how many times is he supposed to answer the bell?? 3/4/5?? Every time the other team comes to town??? Why does it have to be a certain guy?? Matt Cooke isn't good enough? get a clue.

The also played once in-between this. If I'm not mistaken, Moore wasn't even challenged in this game. but don't quote me on that one.

So do you think Stevens' hits were dirty?

How about Bobby Holik, he did a ton of dirty, underhanded things throughout his career and never answered the bell. How many broken necks did he earn?

I'd love to see Ovechkin get the crap kicked out of him for no other reason than to see Don Cherry and HFboards' collective reaction.

Matt Cooke isn't good enough at all. Cooke sucks at fighting and isn't intimidating at all.

that's a pretty good list. Anybody who opens his yap but does not fight should be there, as far as I am concerned.

Perry should top the list, followed by Cook, Ruutu and Crosby.

Ovechkin has probably deserved a beat-down with all of his running around and dirty hits lately.

All time, Bryan Marchment. I wanted someone to cave his face in so badly while he played, just a dirty little puke. Ditto for Gary Suter.

In the NHL right now, I'll always hold Eric Godard in high regard for toppling Boogaard. I hate Boogaard, the guy's a knob, and watching Godard beat him in that first giant-killer fight was bloody awesome. Same goes for when Godard broke Macintyre's face.

Now, right now my list...

Patrick Kaleta
Zack Stortini(never get enough of seeing him get beat down)
Dion Phaneuf
Corey Perry
Marty Turco
Dustin Byfuglien
Keith Tkachuk
