Kreider on a nice saucer pass from Schroeder.

These games are my first viewings of Kreider and I have to say I'm very very impressed.

6-0 after the first. I'd say 10-0 will be easy haha. And I feel bad for Latvia and the goalie (mainly the goalie) because the defense looks SOOOO lost.

Schroeder made a nice saucer pass to Kreiders for his PP goal.

I think that makes Schroeder #1 for USA all time wjc points?

He's gonna be the best player from MA since Guerin at least.

Man you've gotta feel for these kids. The idea of goal-differential being a significant tie-breaker. Goals-Against I could understand... it doesn't promote running up the scores on teams.

My question is what on Earth was Russia doing when they played these guys, in the exhibition.

Russia doesn´t care about exhibition at all. And some of the Latvians probably played the game of their lives, it´s already been pointed out numerous times that they try very very very hard when they play against russia.

Hey if this game is like 12-0 like it looks like it's going to be at 6pm eastern time, will the NHL Network switch to the Sweden-Russia game?

It's great to see MA get back to producing hockey talent. For a state that's produced such decorated talent over the years, it's been a rough run since the era you allude to.

Probably not as the contract is with USA Hockey, I would bet it has a clause that all US games must be shown live and in full.

Figured as much. What really sucks is all this scoring just slows the game down more.

If the US has something to work on it is finishing, as noted before and making crisp passes. I can understand lacking urgency in a game like this, but there are too many soft passes.

How the **** does USA get an extra penalty?

The stupid Latvian ****** is laying on top of our guy punching him in the face.

rigth now it is horrible what boys are doing.
How to win games ageinst the big ones when they're not even able to maintain big pressure on a lower team???
There is no effort and looks like spare time skating

The US isn't going to get any favorable calls the entire tournament.

Exactly what I'm wondering. 6-0 probably has something to do with these penaties. No big deal, good practice for the PK.
