Since I am a reborn hockey fan (haha) and a new member here I just wanted to know who all is from Tennessee? And who travels the furthest to see the Preds play and how many games a year you visit.
I have never seen a Preds game live because Nashville is 2 hours away. That's my dilemma. It would be easier to go to a Thrashers game. Im thinking of buying a couple tickets in January for a Preds game if I can get off work.
Born in Murfreesboro, raised in Dickson, going to school in Johnson City... so I'm a thoroughbred Tennessean, I guess.
I've lived in Dickson (about an hour and a half each way) and my father and I had season tickets my senior year of high school and freshman year of college (I went to Western KY for two semesters). Now that I'm going to college in another time zone, it's impractical, so we ended up getting a ten game pack for this year.
Born in California, after moving to Seattle, where I first got introduced to hockey, I moved to Brentwood, but now I live in Spring Hill. The drive is about an hour or hour and a half to a game, depending on traffic.
Knoxville, about 2.5 hours away. I make it to about 2 games a year. I used to live in Smyrna for years, and had a ticket package every year, even when going to MTSU I had a 10 game pack. It's the thing I miss most. The Knoxville Ice Bears just don't quite satisfy the hockey itch.
Live about 10 minutes away. The company I work for has a suite and I generally get to use these tickets. Last year I worked in the box office on game days and caught the the last 2 periods of a lot of games.
When I lived in KY (Murray) about 2 hours away, I'd see 5-10 games a year. Now, I probably catch 15-20.
My wife and I live in Kingsport - about 4-1/2 hours away. But my in-laws live an hour south of Nashville, so we have a place to crash after the games. We usually go to 6 - 9 games a season. And watch almost all the games on TV (or a live stream on the net if it isn't on TV).
