I'd rather see Lecavalier and St. Louis over Carter and Morrow.

Wouldn't be my pick, but I mean really, it is a strong team.

The best thing about this lineup is that there is no clear cut #1-#4 line, and this would allow Canada to roll out four lines, spreading the offense around.

I don't think Toews should make this team. I think he's too young and overrated. He was amazing at the World jrs though.

i like it, only differences from my team are

m.richards over carter, richards plays with more jam

fisher over bergeron, toss up here, maybe patrices chemistry with crosby gives him the edge though that was quite a few years ago

That is a very, very solid team. The only change I would make would be to remove Jeff Carter, who hasn't had a great season so far, and put in Marty St. Louis in the lineup - a guy who can play either wing on any line on that team. Mike Richards would be an option as well.

Still, that's nitpicking. I would be very comfortable going into the Olympics with that team.

To me, Lecavalier is a guy you definitely put on the team. I doubt he does, but that'd be my one certain change. Probably for Carter.

I'd take St.Louis over Carter for this team.

Toews has been on fire lately, and he is monster in the clutch. Gotta be on the team.

This may be coming from a Hawks fan but this is definite; He is the straw that stirs the drink on one of, if not the best team in hockey. You really don't think he should be on team Canada?

And BTW the cat in ur pic looks exactly like mine.

Him and Kane have to stay on the same line for the Hawks. And Agree with ur post. Ever since they put them together that line has been amazing with Brouwer. The way Kane has been playing lately he will be a superstar by the end of the year if he could keep it up.

They are both heating up at the right time, for sure. Olympics wise anyway. Kane is a lock, but I think it would be a giant mistake not taking JT.

Toews will be there, he can do it all; score, check, kill penalties, and awesome in shootouts

Has Yzerman come out to say that he will be taking 13 F and 7 D ?

This thread title is misleading. The TSN announcers clearly stated that this is who McKenzie thinks Yzerman will choose, not who Bob would pick himself. A subtle, but significant difference.

Good...no Mike Green.

Helluva hockey player, but too many guys ahead of him on the depth chart that play better D than he does.

Does Canada really need more offense with that line-up?

I'm surprised no one has scoffed at Bergeron's presence on the top line. It seems like Mckenzie was trying to go for something a little different than most of the other pundits/bloggers.

He and Crosby were electric together at the WJC's a while back, so I think he's banking on the chemistry between the two to be reignited.

It's a little odd to be banking on chemistry from four years ago. Perhaps that plays a role in the decision but I'm thinking his versatility (ability to play any forward position) and his faceoff prowess are Bergy's main selling points.

Yzerman is probably taking into account his production despite playing with mostly defensive wingers on a goal starved Bruins team too.

If Bergeron makes the team I'll be ecstatic, if he ends up playing with Crosby I'll be speechless.
