US was a bunch of rookies , I think maybe one or two had an NHL career longer than a year

EDIT: thought you meant previous finals.

I'd like to see USA- Canada
Why? Canada will dominate USA like they always do.

On the other hand Russia vs Canada.. Hell yeah!

Russia-Canada would be the most entertaining...probably.

Close second to Sweden-Russia. That would be some insane puck movement from both teams.

I'd like to see Finland vs. any team outside the top 7. Because I'd like to win for once, goddammit. Who cares about the quality of the game?

Although beating Canada or especially Russia or Sweden in the final would bring me so much more joy, I just know that Finland won't do it. They can beat those teams in the group stage, maybe even in the QFs and SFs, but not in the final... never in the final...

This is going to be wildly opinion based. A Finnish fan doesn't want to see a Canada/Russia final. So I'll cut this up into two parts:

One, the final that I crave:

Canada vs. Russia. We've done the whole USA thing in 2002 and 1996. I want a final with these two and we haven't seen it since 1987 Canada Cup.

Second, the final that would be the best for the neutral fan:

Canada vs. Russia. Sorry but it would. Look at that star power in one game! Think about it what was the best series in the playoffs last year? Washington vs. Pittsburgh. And why? The three best players in the world were playing in it. Same with this game. Heck, throw Thornton in there and you've got the top 4 arguably. That is a lot of talent on one sheet of ice for one game. And with the whole history and rivalry thing going on you know both teams would give it their all.

some really good news if you don't know --

Canada and the US play each other -- the final game of the round-robin, and it's on a SUNDAY, 7:30 Eastern
and the Russia -- Czech game is on in the afternoon -- the undercard warm-up game.

it's a perfect Super Bowl Sunday type of day that hockey fans can throw parties in both countries, and it's the middle weekend of the Olympics -- perfect programming.

I'm fine with which ever teams make it to the finals, as long as Canada doesn't get there.

If they finish without a medal i two consecutive Olympics, perhaps they'll start eating some humble-pie.
