Dany Heatly has no f**king business representing my country.

That is all.

3 of the Best face off guys in the league in Bergeron,Crosby and Towes with Thornton not that bad at all.

Nash Crosby Bergeron
Heatley Thornton Marleau
Staal Getzlaff Perry
Morrow Richards Iginla
Toews

Looks pretty damm good to me. That 4th line will not be fun to play against. Actuall any of those lines are a nightmare. The top 3 lines are all huge and can skate. I really don't see how anyone is going to stop them.

Staal is an amazing player, has won a cup, skates like the wind, plays centre and LW. Great pick. He could lead this team in scoring.

Bergeron is there because he's a solid two-way player who compliments elite players very well. No problem with his selection.

This team should win. Only miracle goaltending by Lundqvist, Miller or Kipper will prevent this team from taking gold. One game though. I'm glad I don't see a Draper/Maltby/Bertuzzi/Linden/Zamuner/McCabe anywhere on this club.

I just though about how tough a line this will be for other teams to play against:

Morrow-Richards-Iginla

And that's the 4th line? Awesome.

Come on people. Be realistic and not homers here.

Just because Marleau and Thornton play on the same team as Heatley, none of them should be on Team Canada? Wow, good logic.

Have you watched Heatley play this year? Have you watched him in the last few years? He's been a consistent sniper anywhere he's played. Team Canada or in the NHL. Just because he slighted the Oilers it doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to play in a World class tournament.

Same goes for Pronger. Sure, we hate him, but he's a solid D-man. Same with Iginla, we hate him but he's a great player.

And as for everyone complaining about Penner not making the team, really? And people say the Leafs' fans and Canucks' fans are homers. Penner is having a banner year but it's still not good enough to land a spot on this squad.

Let's be realistic folks.

Whatever bud. Fisher over Bergeron? Have you even watched Patrice this season? Anyone over Marleau? Are you drunk? Boyle's played better than Bouwmeester this year as well. Morrow's a good leader and a good grinder. He's basically a better version of Doan IMO.

I like the team as long as Luongo doesn't get a start. That loser hasn't won a SINGLE thing in his career at any level.

I agree. And for the poster that said Bouwmeester should have made it over Boyle...do you even watch NHL hockey? Or just Oilers hockey? Boyle is a great d-man who can produce offensively and is reliable in his own end. Has won a Cup too.

I think there are still a few players ahead of Penner on the "taxi squad". Guys like Carter, Stamkos and probably even St. Louis or Lecavalier.

Oiler fans are embarrassing

I'm embarassed to be an Oiler fan after reading this thread. Seriously guys grow up! You are making us look like a bunch of eight year olds.

This team matches what most NHL analysts predicted for the most part and btw this team does look awesome. I like that they are going with a youth movement.

For the Canadians here who don't want to cheer for this team because of certain players, are you really that immature?

Absolutely love the team. I'd have preferred Penner over Bergeron, but c'est la vie.

Love that the D is built around Keith and Seabrook (also known as the best defensive pairing in the NHL).

Love that "paying your dues" appears to have been thrown out the window and the best players will be selected.

Love that it's loaded with two-way players.

Bergeron

Stamkos

http://www.hockeycanada.ca/index.php...er_id/9660.htm

Stamkos has no experience with Team Canada on teams above the World Juniors. Bergeron has won a gold with Team Canada at the 2004 World Championships.
