Rajala's making this game look as though its men against boys.

Not saying much seeing as its Austria, none-the-less, dominate looking today.

Well, we didn't really get very good chances after that, but the way Austria is playing there's going to be double digits if our guys bother to try. And I think Jortikka and Raipe are going to make sure they will. It's a little embarrassing to play your hardest in a game like this, but I think we need to do it to prepare for tomorrow.

You are mistaken. There never was any game with Bobkov in goal for the opponent. Compare Sweden's supposed 6-5 win. Sisu is Finnish for it never happened, perkele!

That's the problem. He looks dominant against weaker countries, but vanishes completely against tougher opponents.

Ortio with a first save of the game!

Our guys are trying way too fancy plays... this is not good.

And they score... everytime I start whining, they score

If things keep going this way for much longer, Granlund will take the lead in overall points.

What the hell is wrong with Ortio! He seems to let in a lot of goals on few shots..

? He didn't have a chance on that goal. And it's difficult to have lot of saves when opponents don't get any shots...

Sure, but good goalies should be able to make them.

Even the Russia game, he let in 2 goals on what 16 shots?

Well, it's the quality of the shots that counts, right? Not the quantity.

True, but I think it's safe to say that Ortio is not going to win the best goalie of the tournament based on his games so far..

IIHF ticker has the Austrians with one goal on one shot. Is that accurate or are they just out to lunch?

Great to hear!
He seems ready to play a year or two with Bridgeport and then hopefully he'll be a solid D-man on LI.

But you still can't blame him for that loss or those goals at all. I mean, we had almost 50 shots and couldn't score a single goal. Ortio had nothing to do for long periods of time and then suddenly few good chances and Russia scores, what can you do? Sure, he hasn't impressed but he really hasn't had a chance to do so.

Who's scored so far?

I'm stuck watching USA blow out Latvia 10-1

You have a point. I was impressed by his composure in the Czech game though. He made some great saves to keep it tied, and then eventually enabled us to win the game.

Props for that one.
