I thought they just looked at the scoring leaders on NHL.com and sorted them by country.

Imagine leaving the likes of St. Louis, Carter, Doan, J Staal, Lecavalier, Phaneuf, Boumeester, Green, etc. off a team. Canada's depth is unparralled.

What did they say about St. Louis for those who missed it?

I can not believe the kvetching over some of the picks. We are absolutely stacked regardless and anything short of gold would be a colossal disappointment. Period.

I watch plenty of other games thanks, but you probably don't.

Staal has been very good since his return from injury. Couple that with he'll be hitting his stride in a few weeks means he's ready to go with fresher legs then most for the Olympics.

got most of the lineup right... only difference I had was B. Richards over E. Staal, and Doan in instead of Bergeron... and can't really argue with either of those choices.

The rest of the lineup seemed predictable.

Like I said in the end of the other threads, if you had the chance to have a great 2-way player that could totally be dangerous offensively, maybe even play with Crosby.....AND win important faceoffs, you'd understand why Bergeron is on the team. Bergeron's versatility and faceoff abilities makes him a great pick.

I say this to you all as a hockey fan living in the United States: I'm jealous. Jealous of your storied history. Jealous that the announcement of your Olympic Roster was an event that generated interest. Jealous that the US roster being announced will likely be a blurb at the bottom of espn.com and will be tantamount in this country to a tree falling in the woods with nobody around to hear it.

With that being said, good luck in Vancouver.

Disappointed that J-Bo didn't make the cut. Would pick him over Seabrook, but Keith+Seabrook is solid pairing.

I think Richards playing great defense on Ovechkin is a little misconception. Recent success of Washington against Flyers s the proof. Doan is better in that regard against Ovechkin, Richards did excel at juniors though.

I think hes ability to plat the wing is what put him over the top for a roster spot
