Canada has a message back "Play better. If you would of outplayed Doughty you could of made the team."

Why were St Louis/Bouwmeester not picked?

How do you think they did reason?

He got third most points of all Canadian wingers so far this season (one point less than Heatley/Kane)
He got a ton of heart and energy
He have always represented Canada when asked, going to World Championships etc
He is a natural winger and can play on both wings
He can be used in PK and PP
He is a loyal team player, never causing trouble
He got international experience
He is fast
He can play on a scoring line as well as checking line

I cannot see why he was left out?

There is absolutely no excuse for leaving him out of the team.

Every big country, except arguably Russia, has at least one "wtf" selection so far. Canada is just continuing the trend.

Please, that's an insult to the players that earned there right to play for Canada. Bouwmeester would never say something like that.

A guy like Brenden Morrow is good, but nowhere near the class of player that St. Louis is. Pretty bad call.

JBo and St Louis off team for rookies and mediocrity is pretty sad.

St Louis I understand, but Bouwmeester just isn't better than any of the 7 they picked, sorry. I watched the guy his entire career in Florida, way over-hyped around here because of hit fat contract.

Who is our WTF selection?

For me, it was Bergeron or St. Louis - I like St. Louis, but Bergeron brings more power, more defense and can win faceoffs.

Pierre would be happy if Ryan O'Marra and Tom Pyatt would be on the team. Everybody who played in the World Juniors makes him happy.

J-Bo off Team Canada, no big deal. Just means more rest for Stanley Cup run.

Not a fan of some of the lower picks. A D from Calgary would have been better. Surprised Toews made it.

ROLE PLAYER.

All scoring + no grinders = bronze medal

Having at least Morrow and Richards on this team gives them some edge and good defensive presence.

That said, St. Louis should be there over Toews in my view. Having the 13th forward as a center when so many of you forwards can already play center is a little strange to me.
